THE RUNDOWN

It sure has been a crazy few months! Or, you know. Year and some change, if you've been here for awhile. Maybe you've been through a lot, or maybe you're still carrying baggage from home that you haven't quite been able to work through. Well, the gods - Hope and Sorrow in particular, though all of them have some stake in the emotions that could be brought up - have decided to give everyone a chance to get some of this off their chests.

But who actually wants to look someone in the eye and tell them about your problems? Literally nobody. So the gods came to the most obvious conclusion, helped by the fact that they don't actually know how awful the internet is: an anon post!

That's right, all of Hadriel will be provided with an anonymous venue to let out the things that have been upsetting them. Your fears, you regrets, your guilty thoughts - whatever's been weighing you down, now's the time to let it out. And so that you aren't screaming into the void, your fellow residents will be inspired to respond and help you work through your shit - whatever 'helpful' means to them.

THE DETAILS
On February 25th, an open network post will be made. On the in-game network, all posts will be ICly anonymous. However, we ask that you post logged in and simply indicate 'anon' or something of the sort in your thread subject. This is for logistical purposes (for example, it's impossible for actual anon comments to be used for AC, since we can't know who made them). So please do not log out when posting!

ICly, characters will feel a mild compulsion to post honestly. So if your character might not normally unburden themselves anonymously, or might not even pick up their phone, they'll find themselves significantly more inclined to do so. In return, characters will also be mildly compelled to respond in a helpful way. Of course, the definition of helpful can be very different from character to character - maybe your character thinks it's very helpful to tell someone not to feel guilty about murder, because humans are awful anyway. However, as with most in-game compulsions, both of these can be resisted if you do not want your character to participate.

If your character finds someone to be really helpful, very friendly, or just super weird and interesting, they do have the option to reveal their identity. This will only happen if both parties agree - if one character switches to unanon and the other doesn't, the other won't see their identity until they switch as well. In addition, both identities will only be revealed to each other - the thread itself would still look 'anonymous' to anyone else reading it.

So now's the chance to unburden yourself in total anonymity, make new friends, and help each other out! There's no possible way for this to backfire, not even if it turns out the person giving you such great relationship advice is actually the person who killed your dad. Wow. Awkward.

Honestly, Emily has grown up enough in the past year that there really isn't much bothering her. And now that Matt's gone home, this isn't as much of an issue, but it's still what she's going to post about: "sex is weird."

As much as I would like for it to just be that (and maybe that will be comment 1 of 2), she will elaborate a little. This is based on the whole "Emily too frigid for you too?" comment from Jess in canon. My take on it should be really clear in her anon post, but the gist of it is that she has trouble getting out of her own head, so she often feels awkward during sex. Not that she doesn't enjoy it, but mainly, she has a low sex drive but doesn't want to lose Matt, so she went with it more often than not. Girl loves herself just fine, but that's a conversation they need to have. And since she fears failure/is always rigt, odds are that she wouldn't be the one bringing it up.

So she will put her concerns out there on the network for Hadrielites to offer their wisdom. ("Wisdom.") Please feel free to give her terrible advice, excellent advice, and anything in between. (She's a nerd, everybody. Enjoy this chance to poke fun at her lol.)

LET'S MAKE A LIST OF ALL OF SANS'S GODDAMN CAPITAL-I ISSUES WHY DON'T WE

• Some of the most important people in his life - Papyrus, Newt, and Hermann - have all disappeared. He's used to this. He also doesn't know how to handle this in the long-term, and is progressively getting more and more wrecked by the day.
  
• He's gotten very close with Chara, Frisk, and Asriel, despite the fact that all of these kids have actively attempted (and in Chara's case succeeded) to kill him at some point and it feels like an inherent betrayal that he likes all of them.
  
• Alphys and Asgore are here, and he suspects that both arrived off the heels of their own deaths and/or suicides.
  
• Literally everything his double did to everyone. He's got MASSIVE GUILT over that.
  
• His double also handed to Frisk and Chara the keys to their destruction - that is, a binder of studies done by the vanished Dr. W.D. Gaster, which can more or less be used as an instruction manual to wipe them out of existence. He's terrified that they'll succeed in this and that he'll lose yet more people he's grown to care about.
  
• Frustration and guilt over the number of people in this cave he's begun to regard as dangerous - Yukari, Hux, etc. - and his complete lack of motivation to do anything about it.
  
• Generalized self-loathing over being a poorly-motivated sack of trash who does little besides crack horrible jokes and antagonize people
  
• Guilt about his death during the Doubles event and leaving Chara, Frisk, and Wade behind to clean up his mess (almost everyone else in his immediate CR circle was dead lol)

CECILY is as bottled up as a shaken can of coke so this will be An Experience. She's certainly better than she was two-three years ago, before her canon update, but here are some of the things on her mind:

• It's hard to be in a committed relationship with the other person not!! Around!! "It's not the horniness, Jim, it's the loneliness." SOrt of. But mostly the first thing.


• Did you know that picking up a strange, elven artifact is likely to one day just up and kill you? I mean, yeah, there was warning of that from the beginning, but who knew, right??

HANNAH... I wish I could say that she has a less complicated life, but that just isn't true. Hannah is from an early canon point and worries about things like:

• I died because of a crush on a dumb boy, but was it his fault, their fault, or my fault?


• I feel like I should blame them more for what happened, but I am weak and a doormat and it's easier to just be friends again


• It's definitely my fault that my sister died


• I can't defend myself or do anything helpful in this place

So Chara will be posting to this when it goes up! They will be a bundle of vagueness and horrible jokes but they may talk about the following:

The doubles event! Mostly about how their own double was a spoiler-y brat and spilled the beans to Frisk about post-Genocide route things and showed them that photograph, killed Asriel and so on. There's also Chara's slap-fight with Sans's double, killing Frisk's double and watching the real Sans get murdered because he came to help them.

About how their LOVE has been randomly increasing and their fear that it means something bad is going to happen...even if it's just in Chara's head that this is happening.

The conflicting feelings they have about having Asgore in Hadriel, not to mention whatever is going on between Frisk and Asriel.

Murdering Alphys for finding out about her unintentional role in creating Flowey.

Finding out Flowey and Asriel are one in the same and beating themselves up for it because it was their fault that Asriel died.

Murdering all but two people back home. Genocide route is Good Times, clearly.

The fact that Chara wants to die in general. This conversation will obviously carry references to suicidal ideation and (possibly) references to child abuse so if you absolutely don't want to deal with those topics, please let me know!

Chara will also be commenting on other people's stuff and depending on the topic at hand they might be helpful but probably not. So if you want a snarky child tossed your way, they're your friend!

Haha okay okay uh CW: for child neglect/abuse, suicidal ideation, a few things.

Very...very tentatively laying out some of the things Frisk could talk about. I'm still very unsure about them laying out anything at all, but some of the things that might come to light include:

- Climbing up a mountain to "disappear" due to "not a happy reason".
- Being stuck in a never ending time loop of being killed or murdering people themself.
- Their guilt over killing Chara when they were possessed by a demon.
- Their guilt over wanting to stop existing because Sans told them it was selfish and they never forget when people tell them bad things about themself.
- Their guilt over being scared of Asriel and Alphys, as well as how they feel this is hypocritical when Chara, Sans, Asriel, and Alphys all have reason to be afraid of them.
-Their sense of failure in comparison to the other Frisk's they met during the fourth wall because those kids had actually gotten out of the Underground, and they never have. So that must mean they're broken or just not as good, obviously.

More? So much more.

At the moment I'm seriously debating whether to put anything up, but Frisk will 100% be trying to help other people with their own issues! So please feel free to let me know if you'd like them to be a part of that.

Noctis Lucis Caelum - Spoilers for FFXV

Oh boy... I want to say that Noctis may prefer to avoid something like this entirely, considering he isn't exactly into being open about things with strangers? But at the same time, boy's got plenty of grievances. So he may attempt being vague and fail at it.

With that being said, here's the laundry list:

- Noctis is royalty. That can explain the gigantic list of issues he's carried with him since childhood. He's got a gigantic kingdom he recently inherited after the murder of his father and the obliteration of the Crown City he came from.

- With said royalty comes, well... The lack of opportunity to really grow when it comes to being social. He's shit with social queues, awkward, etc. I don't see Noctis complaining about that, because he won't, but this'll be why it will likely be obvious who it is on the network.

- Did I mention that his father was murdered? Yeah. Said murdered father is here, alive, and while Noctis has already taken steps to deal with it? It's still weird. That goes for Lunafreya being here, too. It's just never going to stop causing him anxiety. It's not their fault, it's not his fault, it's just weird.

- Childhood friend/betrothed was also murdered. See above.

- His first month fostered a sort of... Unintentional complacency with the company of is father and Lunafreya. For a while there, he was fine with being stuck here and made only half-assed attempts to find a way back to Eos. That has been dealt with, he's back on track, but it may come up in terms of his regrets. He feels pretty shitty about it, because it's no way for a king to behave. Noctis completely acknowledges his duty, accepts it, but it's terrifying.

- Now that the aforementioned complacency is gone, here comes the anxiety of the state of his kingdom. It was already left in a pretty shitty place, and Eos' integrity is only determined by Noctis' being there. Being the Chosen King and all.

- Gladio is making him get up early for training. He can't sleep in anymore. Need I continue?

- Vegetables. Why the hell. Does dad. Insist. On bringing home. Vegetables.

- Where the hell are all the comic books and video games? HUH?

Oh boy this is gonna be awesome cause some new information on Hux's background came out recently and it turns out that it's just awful. I'll avoid spoilers as much as possible and let me know if it's a concern for you.

-the fact he's constantly going above and beyond to prove that he's more than the skinny weak-willed bastard kid of a kitchen maid.
-his hatred of his father which is built on the fact that he knew that his father didn't like him at all.
-his grief over Starkiller's destruction. It still hurts.
-but he's so proud of his superweapon and star destroyer. He has no regrets about killing so many living beings and has no to little empathy.
-everything about Kylo Ren. The fact that he actually doesn't hate him as much here. It's confusing and he's still trying to figure out how emotions work when he actually likes someone. Emotions are hard.

Anne of Austria

-her marriage with Louis which is tense to say the least. She's been married when she was young and she's under pressure to produce an heir with no luck so far. She had a miscarriage and it still weighs on her. It doesn't help Louis is not a great husband.
-falling in love with Aramis and sleeping with him. She may not like Louis but she still feels guilty.

Deadpool

- Wade's personal trauma has vastly outpaced his ability to counter it with humor, and he mostly spends his time in an alcohol and drug-induced haze. It's the only thing that makes him feel anything, these days.

- Losing almost all his friends in the span of a few months has intensely triggered his abandonment issues, and he doesn't know how he can keep from backsliding into destructive old habits. He's not sure how many times he can endure this before he finally snaps.

- He's still not entirely convinced that he's not still back in Haven, locked in yet another experiment designed to psychologically torture him. Nothing he's seen or experienced so far has indicated otherwise, not even the gods who pop up once in a while to make holier-than-thou speeches and won't do jack shit otherwise. (Except you, Delight. He likes you.)

- He had kids once. He doesn't have them anymore.

- I HATE MYSELF AND I WANT TO DIE :D

- And possibly the biggest injustice of all, he's still so goddamn horny he can barely stand it sometimes. Do you know how hard it is to be taken from a sex game and plopped into this shithole? His right hand's about to file a restraining order and his left hand's worried that it'll be next. Shit's fucked. And it's not even his shit, either.

Unfortunately Wade's emotionally constipated all to hell so this will all come out completely unwillingly (except for his sexual starvation, he'll tell you that for free.) Feel free to engage in schadenfreude over this sad clown. That's what he's written for, right?

It's no secret Rose has a lot of issues. I mean. I'm talking more baggage than an airline carrier. Some things she's probably going to talk about are,

We're all safe... Together; Haven was not a fun place. When people disappeared, it was later discovered they were actually being held in cold storage somewhere by the Yao Corporation. Rose basically constantly worries - since things went bad at the end - that all her friends are still trapped there. Worse, she's afraid that Newt and Hermann leaving means they were also dropped back into storage.

One some level, she's also just terrified that Hadriel is still Haven and the gods are Yao in different form.

I feel like a monster; After being experimented on by Kite in Haven, Rose eats only human flesh. She's not necessarily a cannibal since, well, she's not human just acts like one. But! She hasn't eaten anyone since she's gotten here and has essentially been starving herself. Newt was going to help her with a food supply but since he's gone that hope left with him. She also refuses to ask the person who helped her before for. Reasons. Side effects of this starvation have been her enhanced speed/strength/healing slowing down to almost baseline human levels. It's why she hasn't really been doing much during the events that require fighting.

Even scarier to her is the fact that something someone said when she first got here (that she might not need to eat it, but want to) is right.

Suicidal ideation; In Haven, Rose tried to take her own life. After the last event, she's considered it a lot more than usual. She made a promise to not do that thing but it's hard some days and she doesn't know who to/how to really talk about that.

How does I girlfriend; On the lighter side of things, Rose really likes (1) lady by the name of Faith and isn't sure how to navigate things. She's never been in a proper relationship nor does she feel very deserving of one. So. It's hard!!! Part of her still says run but the other part is just so affection starved and lonely that she's going with despite herself.

The gods are hot; Rosie will 100% bring up how she can't be the only one to think the gods are fine. She knows now they don't operate like humans do but c'mon. It's not fair. (This may also inspire the potential 'poll on which god you'd bang' shitpost the unholy trinity has in the works)

Asriel Dreemurr - CW FOR SUICIDE/TRAUMA

If Rey's massive extended history is anything to go by, she's got a ton of issues. But I'll just point out some of the highlights:

- She's still unsure whether she's fit to be a parent. Which is an issue considering that Muscovy (now Russia) sees her as a mother figure due to the relationship he had with the version of Rey in the previous game they were in.

- Her never-ending mentality that everyone is going to leave her someday and she's going to die alone. She's more matter-of-fact about this than she is anything else, because she's been a war machine for almost a century and has seen countless of people die and leave forever. Essentially she is afraid of the bonds she has with others and making even more because she is sure she's setting herself up for disappointment.

- The fact that she has been (and there's a slight possibility that she still might be) a danger to others. And considering the nature of Hadriel, she can't really guarantee others' safety around her.

- Somewhat related to the above: Rey killed her mother, or the woman she's genetically related to and created her. This is a source of massive guilt as she had been used as a glorified puppet at the time. The fact that someone has that kind of control over her at any point scares her. This is why she tries to fight violent compulsions so fiercely.

- A lot of people are dead because of shit she's done, both directly and indirectly. I mean a lot of people. There is even a part of her that finds it fun.

There are tons of others but those are the immediate biggies!

- the fact that she literally feels guilty just for being ALIVE and the trauma she still carries from watching her best friend who she also smooched slowly turn into a violent monster like they were uh meant to do together (the most fucked up friendship pact of all time, lemme tell ya)

- ellie herself states that everyone she's ever cared about has left her or died. up until now, joel was the exception to this rule, and now she's fucking found herself alone again. this is not doing good things for her mental health. this is bad. it's not fun. she's simultaneously terrified of making more friends to lose, and terrified of being alone. ROCK. HARD PLACE.

- she's infected. sure, she's immune, but the scar on her arm is a constant reminder that the virus which has killed so many people is growing inside her. she's scared about what that could mean one day. is her brain even ok with fungus up in there??? who fucking knows. ellie doesn't. some days she wants to scrape the fungus off her arm.

- she has literally nothing left to live for. some days this hits her in an awful sickening rush. she was ready to do whatever it took to help the fireflies manufacture a cure from her immunity, and it didn't go down. she would have willingly died for this cause. now, in her eyes, everything she suffered had no fucking point.

- on that note, she was very nearly sexually assaulted. to protect herself, she fought off her attacker with a machete and mashed his face into bloody pieces. not a fond memory. post this, ellie was clearly more withdrawn for a long period of time. it still sits heavy with her. it's harder to trust others than it used to be. she doesn't like being alone with certain people. it's hard to balance when she's also scared of being by herself. damned if she do, damned if she don't.

- GOD is she ever mad at joel. she doesn't know if he told her the truth or not, but something doesn't sit right and the suspicion is enough to make her PISSED. it's confusing balancing that with constant worry for him and missing him like crazy.


kiddo needs a hug. in any case, she's definitely not the sort to reveal this stuff to just anyone, so anything that she discusses would be forced to light unwillingly on her part.

Oh goodness, let's start with Darth Vader:

~ He married against all of the Jedi codes and he is well on his way to being a father.

~ He is descending into the Dark Side - willingly. He is at the edge of his sanity thanks to losing his mother, murdering a whole village of people, hiding his love for Padmé, feeling judged hard-core by Obi-Wan, fearing losing Padmé thanks to Palpatine and his dreams/nightmares. Oh and Palpatine has done so much more. He has been a busy bee where Anakin is concerned.

~ He murdered all the little Jedi Padawans. Yeah, that's right. Kids.

~ He has also taken out a fair few Jedi and Sith. Fun, fun fun~

~ And lastly, he is just generally losing his mind. He isn't the Ani of the past anymore and, with each day, he is perhaps embracing Darth Vader all the more. Of course that journey won't be complete until he speaks with Padmé, chokes her and fights Obi-Wan. Having your body cut apart and then burned by lava tends to kill all remaining sanity.

Now for the scarred Elf!

~ He fell for a certain Maia's charms, lost his people and saw his wife and daughter murdered before him. Then said Maia murdered him slowly. This is how his torment is ended.

~ He is the last descendent of Fëanor and there is a hell of a lot of guilt that goes with that. He carries the sins of his father and uncles on his shoulders too.

~ He made very powerful Rings that could do a lot of damage if they fell into the wrong hands. He was able to save the Elvish Rings, at least, by giving them to those he trusted best. But it hurts him that Sauron might use his greatest creations for ill. That is his legacy.

Oh man... Will is a walking ball of burdens. I think for this event, he's probably going to unburden himself of just a few things he's seen and had to deal with though. The death and murders, accusations and injuries, just the really bad ones he struggles with. Maybe it will help him sleep better?

Other than that, he'll probably be more inclined to help others with their problems.
