The fate of Delight's bar

Hey everyone! Just wanted to post to the ooc comm some things that were discussed on plurk, so everyone in game can chime in as you like. c:


It started with the recent update to the map - in the legend now, instead of the symbol for Delight's bar, is the ruins of Delight's bar. ;;

It was then suggested by Liz that the current citizens of Hadriel should rebuild it so Delight can come back to something nice. (Bonus: Rage would be pleased too!) Revu brought up that Rey had suggested that Delight build a café instead of a bar, since now the city has the Speakeasy.

The two ideas can work together, imo! I can't do any work towards this ICly (Brennan is busy with other things) but others might. Also, all of this is contingent upon mod approval, which since I won't be involved ICly is something I think should be approached by people whose characters would be in on the project.

Either way I think it'd be a neat IC project just because omg poor Delight :c So there you have it!


I think that covers the gist of it. Let me know if I missed anything, a lot of people discussed a lot of good ideas.

Note that this is NOT a finalized or even proposed thing. It's just a place for everyone to get our heads together where we can all see all the ideas and pros and cons pertaining to it. None of this constitutes approval or even intent to go forward with this, and I probably won't be involved ICly if it is something that gets agreed upon, submitted, and approved.

And now back to the weird furniture rain. 8)

Rey would definitely ICly want to be involved with the rebuilding, since she felt bad for Delight losing her bar and proposed converting it into a café. If nothing else, she'd like to extend the gesture that they care about her. :c

(Also they should totally furnish the place with the bizarro IKEA Hell popping up during this event! Give it character.)

Kyrii is capable of unnatural heavy lifting and obediently taking orders. Mostly because he has nothing else going on. And also he needs to socialize with the locals. c:

Also, I know it's not a bar anymore, but a cafe can still have live music. If you're up for this, Curufin can bring his harp and play on Saturday nights when he's not on Guard Duty.

HI,sorry, I thought I responded somewhere here on DW too! But yes, count Prussia in to do lots of heavy lifting so he can show off all of his muscles to you (he's cheating, he's got super strength), and Raidou will... I dunno, but he will help out somehow.

THE LATEST but now that nick is back, she would be available to help, possibly with some heavy lifting to clear the rubble (because morphus strength is a thing) and as working as a barista, since she has a lot of experience with that, and her former bartending gig is no more. c':

Signing Drake and Liv up for construction! Maybe plumbing or electrical, as Drake knows a good bit and it's specialized enough that they might need his help?
