Event post: Regret This
THE RAMIFICATIONS
But wait! Before we can start in on our first-ever Sorrow event, we want to go ahead and let you guys know of a fun new development in Hadriel! Thanks to Kate's meddling, Bianca's encouraging, and Sharon's massive hateboner for the gods, there will now be a permanent portion of Silent Hill in the city, following the event's resolution.
This portion will be across the water from most of the population, on the other side of the lake area, and will be added to the map when the location pages are updated at the end of the month. The section won't be too large, encompassing just a few city blocks, but it's difficult to identify as inherently dangerous unless you know where it is. The Silent Hill pocket will look like any other portion of the city, but upon entering, the telltale sirens will blare and the fog will roll in, as well as your own personalized monster and/or a few other silent hill-esque horrors. Once you're in this hellish pocket of the city, you cannot leave through the fog until the sirens are over- whether this takes hours or days is up to you!
Though Hope will spend the first few weeks trying to dispel it, it will keep coming back until he just gives up and it becomes a permanent addition to the city. Walking in or through it is completely optional, of course- but feel free to plot with it as you see fit!
THE RUNDOWN
Onto the future stuff: your characters have spoken, and this resurrection goes to Sorrow, who will- well, probably make them sorry to have voted him in.
With Sorrow's resurrection comes the new orchard, complete with fruit and vegetable garden and rapidly growing food. While it isn't quite enough to sustain the entire population on a constant basis, the fruits and vegetables in the garden will considerably lessen the burden on Hope, as well as offer characters some fresher foods to eat. Sorrow's garden will be populated with edible things that may not quite be earthen- you won't find any oranges or zucchini here- but many of them are still sweet or savory, or any other flavor you might want to find.
The garden will also be across the river from the main population so it has more room for expansion. It will be added to the map with the location update as well!
Now, onto the main event: with Sorrow's resurrection comes a surge of his designated emotion rippling through the city. All residents will feel a compulsion, not just to feel sad, but rather, to linger over past regrets and guilty consciences.
And what feels better to a guilty conscience than confession?
In addition to mulling over all of their past mistakes, characters will also feel an urge to confess them to others. Air out your laundry and maybe you'll feel a bit better. Do you not feel better? Maybe you haven't just confessed enough yet, or to enough people. Might want to grab that megaphone and get to work.
Unfortunately, no amount of confession can really sway the tide of guilt, even if it seems initially like it might. It's up to you how much you want your character to be affected by the downer feelings and urge to divulge all their dark little secrets- anything from just a slight inkling of guilt, to full-blown stress dreams and crippling anxiety is all acceptable!
THE DETAILS
The Resurrection event will start on June 25th and linger on until July 3rd, giving you 8 days of guilt. Most of it will be fairly straightforward, and there are no major changeups throughout the week. However, be on the lookout for a network post from Sorrow announcing his return- as well as any posts from close CR that might want to tell you something awful...
The orchard and garden will be assembled upon Sorrow's return to the city- not many trees at first, but as the event stretches on, the foliage will continue to bloom and spread until it's an appreciable size.
THE OVERVIEW
► June 25th: Sorrow is resurrected and the event begins! The orchard also begins to bloom.
► June 26th: After a good day or so of being alive again, Sorrow will address the network and say hi to everyone!
► July 3rd: Event ends and characters are back to their (mostly) guilt-free selves!

The urge to confess is also variable in how strong it is- it could be easily ignored or rationalized away, if that suits your plotting better!

You also totally preempted a question I didn't even know I had, but was definitely going to have... well done.

1. Yes, definitely! Feel free to get creative with it.
2. No, the sirens would only be heard when you're already inside. Sounds from inside are muted past the pocket area, though if a Silent Hill siren-time is going on, then characters who are outside will be able to see things like the fog and maybe a monster or two on the streets. However, neither fog nor monster would be able to escape the Silent Hill area (though characters outside could still enter, they just wouldn't be able to leave again until it's over).
Hopefully that makes sense!

no i was just wondering if hope having to deal with all this shit would affect things like the network and everything else he does for this ungrateful lot?
