August was a lighter month, a little space to breathe for everyone, but now it's time to get real again! Hopefully you're all ready to ramp things up for September, which brings us our fourth god resurrection and some more serious events!
As always, if you ever have any suggestions or feedback you'd like to offer us mods, remember you can always drop us a line here! Also, please remember to hit up the Current AC post if you haven't done so yet! Characters accepted in August do not require AC proofs, but we do require a check-in on the post!

SEPTEMBER PART 1: THE LESSER OF EVILS
Last time around, Sorrow was chosen for resurrection! He provided the residents of Hadriel with an orchard, some straight talk, and a whole lot of regret. What a great guy! This month, Hope has once again recovered enough of his power to resurrect another god. On September 1st, Sorrow will ask the population of Hadriel to pick from one of three options. Here are your characters' choices for the fourth god to be resurrected:CONFUSION: She had a strong showing during the first poll, but fell far behind in the second and didn't get a whole lot of traction in the third. Will this be Confusion's month? She sides with both Fear and Hope, merging her power with either of them for combination events whenever it feels the most advantageous to her. If Confusion is selected, her event themes will lean more towards absurd, unpredictable events. Her first event will happen at the end of September.
LOVE: Love came out strong in the first go-around, but didn't do as well once Sorrow was in the mix. Third time's the charm? Love sides with Fear rather than Hope - because as anyone who's been in love knows, it can be terrifying. Love's events will be mostly on the positive side, however, drawing out feelings of affection, whether platonic or otherwise. If Love is selected, the final event of September will give everyone in Hadriel some nice butterflies in their tummies. Maybe.
TRANQUILITY: The last god to make it on the voting table is Tranquility! Like Confusion, he also sides with both Fear and Hope depending on the situation, combining his power to help out whoever will most help him out. Unsurprisingly, Tranquility's events will be more focused on calmness, quiet, and getting everything to chill the fuck out - not an easy prospect in Hadriel. The final event in September would reflect those themes.
Each potential god has their own set of pros and cons that they bring to the table, so try to let your characters consider their options carefully! Just as they did last time, each god will also have the power to create something in the city upon their revival. Some options will be better or more useful than others, and all of them will be presented ICly in Sorrow's post on September 1st.
While everyone debates the best choice of god, new arrivals will appear as usual in the intro log on September 10th. Alongside them will be Tonberries from the Final Fantasy video game series, suggested by Alexis!
Tonberries are small, cute creatures that carry lanterns and very large knives. They move incredibly slowly, so you have plenty of time to get away - but look how cute they are! Surely they can't really be dangerous, right? Watch out and don't get too close, because any attack from that knife will do serious damage, and if you aren't careful could even kill you outright. What's more, attacks on them are likely to be countered viciously. But you never know... maybe they just really need a hug?
SEPTEMBER PART 2: DEAD MEN WALKING
Apparently you guys suck at scary stories, so Fear has decided to take things into his own hands. Starting on September 14th, anyone wandering around the city might encounter something a little unsettling. Walkers, shambling corpses, the living dead - whatever you want to call them, they've come to hang out in Hadriel.
Zombies can be found in the city, and while at first there will only be a few, by September 17th a full-scale invasion will be in progress. It'll be nearly impossible to leave your dwelling without running into one or two, and they sure do seem to like to congregate - zombie mobs are a definite danger.
Though slow and lacking any intelligence whatsoever, these zombies sure are hungry. They'd like nothing more than a delicious people feast, and if they can only get a bite or two, that's just fine. Well - for them. If you're bitten, it's a little less than fine. The infection progresses rapidly, and within a day you'll find yourself dying very unpleasantly and rising to join the zombie hordes. On September 20th, Fear thinks he's made his point, and the zombies disappear, gone as if they were never there at all.
SEPTEMBER PART 3/OCTOBER PART 1: ???
The final event of September will stretch into the first week of October and will span September 24th-October 2nd. This event is based entirely on which god gets revived, which is a direct result of what your characters vote on. Choose wisely!

QUESTIONS

But as Kaneki is exclusively a cannibal (can only eat humans or ghouls like himself) would the zombies be okay as food for him? Edit: might as well ask, eating flesh from the infected would infect him?
My next question! Kaneki's skin is so sturdy that a bullet can't pierce it. Thus while zombies can bite him, they can't really tear flesh. Would the infection still be passed on to him?

oh wow i totally forgot another question.
Ghouls can't really get sick; they eat humans with diseases such as HIV or hepatitis, and it doesn't really affect them. Would this virus affect a ghoul regardless?

Wade's healing factor is pretty much OP in his canon, and he's shown to be immune to zombification (except for one instance in Night of the Living Deadpool but those were ~special~ zombies I guess? It's unclear). Should his powers be tweaked for this event, or would it be okay to just have him keep the immunity?
Related to that, Wade's cancerous blood and flesh is shown to smell and taste violently terrible to zombies in canon. Should this also be nerfed, or can Wade's blood potentially be used as a natural zombie repellent? XD

he's gonna bottle it up like perfume and sell it to the highest bidder, of course! Geez! Give him some credit, at least!

This is beautiful no matter what tbh lmao

As for his blood, it could be used as a repellent, but it would need to be used very liberally if applied to anyone else. Think 'sprayed with a hose' rather than 'spritzed with perfume'.

Re: QUESTIONS
... follow up question: if they can do they above, can they get their limbs back at some point?
thanks!

As for getting their limbs back, there are a few ways of doing this. The easiest would be dying - Hope will bring them back fully intact. However, Hope can restore a limb even to a living person. He won't do it for free, but a deal could definitely be worked out in order to get a new shiny human arm! Or, if you want to get weird, contact the other gods and see what kind of arm they might be willing to give you.

And if it's not kosher to ask these kinds of things here, I'm sorry, but I figured I might as well while I'm here -- could Warrick's witch bag connect to a room somewhere in the city? Also would his heartless status start affecting him because of his distance from Ozma and Emma, who basically hold onto his heart, when he arrives until he chats up one of the gods, is he fine, or is that something left up to my discretion?
no subject
We aren't entirely clear on the mechanics of Warrick's witch bag - if he is capable of 'reassigning' it to a room in the city of Hadriel himself or if it would do so on its own, it could absolutely be connected to one. However, if that's not the case, then it would remain just a normal bag. As for his heartless status, this is also the sort of thing we usually leave up to the player! If it would be fun for you to plot something regarding that, and have him ask the gods or another character in the game for help, you definitely can. However, if it would just be an impediment to play, then he could be unaffected.
