With the exception of one big fire attack that's hot/strong enough to break fire resistant magic armor, nearly all of Ikaruga's attacks are precision strikes. She likely won't use the fire attack until the way is clear of everything except the Null. She'll note the shield and thus be less concerned about things immediately getting to Hope, though.
