1. The garden is fine to be moved, no worries about that!
2. For the first few days there will not be running water- of course, that will be one of the absolute first priorities to reestablish in the city, and so bathroom appliances will be up and working soon, but this event is designed to push players toward drinking the spring water and feeling the effects there- so while we definitely don't want to force anyone to play out some smelly characters, we do want there to be a reason to seek out the water sources on the planet! You're free to transport water from the springs to use as well, if need be.

The river/lake is not gone, but it does feed into the underground water system! the river has never moved quickly, but now it's even slower, longer (it goes on for several miles each way), and the edges of it are comprised of the same colorful minerals as in the springs on the rest fo the planet.
