In general, if the characters involved don't receive a special event, they will not find anything of note. Most of the cities are rubble and have been thoroughly investigated by the Null to remove anything left behind, and without gods to supply things there simply isn't anything new. They could find some remnants from battles - for example: scorch marks, bits of twisted metal from Null troops, broken furniture, some shell and bone fragments from the host species.
