Monthly Rundown: July Edition

Hope you're settling into your new life next to the open seas! We also hope that you remember why you're here: to learn more about the Door. Throughout the month of July, we plan to do just that!

JULY PART 1: IN NAME WE TRUST

We hope you haven't forgotten about [Name], because it hasn't forgotten about you! In the beginning of July, [Name] will again address the network: this time it's repaired to almost full functionality and willing to help the people of Hadriel whether or not those people campaigned to kill it, small details.

On July 6th, [Name] will post to the network with vital information about the Door that the gods may not have been willing to divulge. See, it remembers the Null's initial arrangement and is aware of many of the folks who want to go home- so why not help out through locating the Door and it's fragments in the world for you? Whether you want to trust it's information... well, that's up to you.

Then, on July 10th, the Door will open and bring with it a bunch of new folks, as well as Kabutops from the Pokémon franchise!

Kabutops are prehistoric pokémon that live in or near water and have the ability to swim extremely fast. They use their scythe-like arms to slash open their prey and drink their blood- incidentally, they aren't very good at handshakes. Even if you're familiar with these creatures, the ones brought in by the door are wild and impossible to tame, so no pokéballs for you! If allowed to survive, these creatures will form a small colony near the islands where they will roam and attempt to gang up on unsuspecting victims.

Not long after, on July 12, we'll have our bi-monthly CR meme!

JULY PART 2: CONVINCE ME

While [Name] has given some prime information on where to find the Door pieces, the question remains: how the hell can anyone get to them?

This is where Tranquility will come in, with a post on July 14th, during which he will approach the network and attempt to discuss the possibility of believing in the rogue Null. While Tranquility won't be willing to throw down with [Name], he will be interested to hear arguments for and against and will ultimately use his position to decide whether or not the gods will supply the citizens of Hadriel with boats and diving equipment or not.

JULY PART 3: IN NEED OF A BOAT or FACT FINDING

Depending on whether or not Tranquility is convinced, the final event in July will be one of two options.

• Tranquility is convinced: In this option, Tranquility will appeal to the gods and get them to agree to make boats and diving equipment in exchange for emotional acts from the civilians. In this version of the event, the gods will request those participating to choose their patron god and work to inspire their emotion in themselves and others. How successful they are determines the quality of their received item, so be careful as your life (or lack thereof) at sea will depend on how well you do!

• Tranquility is not convinced: If you fail to convince Tranquility to trust Name, then Fear takes charge at Sorrow's request with a massive search to locate where the Door fragments are hidden. In order to power himself up for this search, he needs- well, fear, and so the event at the end of July will be a fear-based event in which the horrors of the deep will rise up to separate and isolate you from your friends.

There will be an OOC post for this event, informing everyone of which version of the event we will be seeing.
