Monthly Rundown: November Edition

Thank you for all of your participation during the years of Hadriel! For this month, we've got another relocation with a twist, so get out your voting fingers and let's get to it!

Also, please remember to hit up the Current AC post if you have AC for the month! Characters accepted in October do not require AC proofs, but we do require a check-in on the post!

NOVEMBER PART 1: TESTING, 1 2 3

With the first round of testing complete on the door, it's about time that the gods begin to use it to move the city again before the Null can be attracted to the energy given off by the Door and/or any potential signals that their dormant scouts may have sent when the fragments were gathered. Either way, on November 4th, there will be another NPC post to vote on the next planet to be taken to. Each option has its advantages and disadvantages, so choose carefully. This poll will close on November 12th.

In addition, on November 10th, the Door will open again and with it, will bring in a new wave of citizens as usual. What's a little unusual however, is that the monsters brought in by the Door are... different. Instead of a recognizable creature from some world or another, these monsters are frankenstein creations, spliced together poorly by some strange power. They may have too many legs, or not enough legs, or insect legs incapable of holding up a larger body. Their heads may be too heavy for smaller bodies to lift, with teeth that grow past the limitations of their jaw- none of them are really able to function with their bodies the way they are, and while they could still be deadly, it might be a little more sad than outright scary.

These creatures may still want to kill those around them, but will ultimately lack the coordination and aggression to be much of a threat. It might be in everyone's best interest if they were all quickly put down instead.

NOVEMBER PART 2: MEMORIES PAST

Either things have been too quiet lately or Confusion just feels left out, because she's teaming up with Tranquility this month to do a Memory Sharing event!

From November 14th-20th, characters will find themselves sharing memories- either memories from Hadriel or memories from before that, back during their own lives. This memory sharing can be accidental, but it can also be intentional, and is transmitted through physical contact, such as handholding, brushing past one another, or other forms of touch. If the touch is accidental, then it can be any memory, with a slight preference towards ones that are influencing the character's current state of mind.

However, intentional memory sharing is also possible, and can happen if a character focuses on a particular memory while touching another character. If two characters brush against one another, then its up to the players whose memory is transferred- or it could be that both characters get memories from one another. The effects of the memory sharing are instantaneous, with the character 'viewing' the memory experiencing it in its full duration in their mind throughout the course of several seconds in real life. The memories are completely immersive- it feels as though the viewer is there, but cannot interact with the memory in any way.

An OOC event post about our memory sharing event will go up on November 11th.

NOVEMBER PART 3: INTO THE UNKNOWN

On November 21st, the Door will sweep up the city and everyone in it to be transported to the new planet indicated in the poll on the NPC post. As this is our first time using the Door for transportation instead of Fear's power... well, who knows what might happen.
