hello, hadritonians (what even is our plural noun, anyway??). this is trace, player of sally (~unmakes) postponing bringing zelos back for another month or so in favor of joining our fantastic until dawn cast with this lovely trauma teen.



this is jess, and in the grand scheme of the campy archetype-filled horror shitfest that is until dawn, she's the homecoming queen. the one who knows she's hot shit.

jess is known for being utterly confident and totally irreverent. she's super open with her sexuality and with her opinions and while she only aims to be mean or shitty if someone else starts it, that doesn't mean her blunt opinions aren't mean and shitty unintentionally. if you can handle that brutal honesty, though, she's actually pretty awesome to be around. chill as fuck, always ready to joke around (even if that joking is often giving you shit) or have an adventure.

at least, until partway through the game when Shit Got Real.




until dawn is a game in which anyone can survive or nobody can. jess happens to be coming directly from a route in which she was the only one who made it out alive. everything fell apart the moment she was hauled backward and mostly naked out the window of the cabin, and she spent the entire rest of the game bleeding and alone in the caves, trying to find her way out with no idea what exactly had attacked her to start with.

she didn't know anything about the wendigos, or that such a thing even existed. she didn't know the others were dead, not until she was found and rescued and that fact was let slip during the interviewing process.

needless to say, she's basically a giant traumatized mess right about now. whoops. she'll definitely be spending the next few weeks trying to work past that, past the newfound insecurities that come along with the scars on her face and the way she flinches at sudden sounds, and past the fact that life as she knew it has been totally destroyed.




definitely gonna fling her onto the intro when it goes up. she'll be the one in her underwear and an oversized jacket, bruised and covered in blood.

So the way I've been approaching Emily, she wants to reconcile with Jess but is still mad and hurt over everything. Except, after the last month in cavetown, she's feeling alone and stuff, and like she needs to be less of an asshole to her friends. (Slightly less. At least slightly less.) So when she sees Jess... holy shit.

Basically it's going to be a long and bumpy road on Emily's side re: Jess but I'm so here for it?? Poor Jess. Anyway I think UD house has a room for her now too? So yes.

yeah like my app even mentioned that after everything, jess is sorely reconsidering the importance of her bitchfest with em. so this will be a bumpy road for the both of them, with a lot of trying and a lot of "(SHITTY SNAPPY COMMENT) ... ...Sorry." as jess remembers how to bff.

the fact that mike isn't here is gonna suck for jess but in this case i feel like it would make the reconciliation a teensy bit easier.
