Event post: How Delightful

THE RUNDOWN

The past few months, things have been a little bit off-balance, with both Fear and Rage competing for the number one cause of Hope's headaches. Fortunately, you all voted in Rage's Poll and... well, you came to a tie, but Hope has ultimately decided to resurrect Delight, as she will be on his side through future events! This means that on March 23rd, Delight will be resurrected into Hadriel!

The goddess will be thrilled to be alive again, and what better way to celebrate than to throw a giant party? That's right, from March 23rd-April 3rd, Hadriel will be a nonstop source of celebration and action. At first, she'll be getting things in motion, opening up her bar (which is updated on the map here) with round after round of drinks and fun flashing lights. Throughout the event, the party will start to spill out of the bar and envelop through the entire city in a 24/7 nonstop celebration. Did you want to sleep? Too bad, there's potentially-unsafe fireworks exploding above your heads, alien music amped up through the air, and of course, shots shots shots shots.

That doesn't mean that Delight is completely unsympathetic to you tiring humans, however. When she starts realizing that the humans are getting tired, she'll begin serving her own special brand of shots. This glowing yellow liquid tastes strangely like peppermint sludge going down, but as soon as you down it, you'll begin to notice the effects. These shots aren't alcoholic, but they will eliminate your need for sleep, food, water, cure an oncoming hangover and immediately relax any sore muscles you've got for 24 hours per shot. Can you stack them? Can you take 14 of them for 336 consecutive hours of energy?

Yes. Yes you can.

Might want to be careful, though. While coming down from it won't kill you, you will probably feel like death, as all the effects that you've been pushing away will come back and hit you full force as soon as Delight's magic shots wear off. Depending on how many shots you took, you could be asleep for days, you could want to eat a house, your head could hurt so bad that you want to just end it all right there.

Or you could take another shot and prolong the hangover for another day. Your call.

On April 3rd, Delight will finally call the party off, shut down the overhead lights and fireworks, turn off the music, and leave everyone a few asprin and a glass of water on their bedside table for the impending hangover. She cares.

THE DETAILS

From March 23rd-March 27th, the party will be mostly contained, though it will be steadily growing in size. Delight will make a post encouraging others to come visit- and when she finds that she's unsatisfied with her number of guests, she'll just go ahead and take over the whole city. From March 28th until the end of the event, the natural light in the cave will be dimmed and replaced with colorful flashing lights, occasional fireworks, and in some areas, disco balls. Alien music will pulse into the city- blaringly loud in some places, almost ignorable in others- and there's no shortage of things to do!

Want to set off some shady fireworks? You can have some. Want to tag the place? Here's some glowing paint. Wanna do karaoke? Well, she doesn't know any human songs, but you can probably program one of the strange jukeboxes that are popping up around the place to belt out Kryptonite or whatever it is that you crazy kids are into these days. Here's an adult-themed card game, there's a two story ramp and a pair of questionable roller blades. Don't hurt yourself.

By the end of the event, many of the objects that Delight brought in for the party will be cleaned up- the broken stuff will be removed, however, some of the extra fireworks and disco balls will be stored in her temple for anyone who wants to have a quick burst of fun. Delight herself will stop serving the energy shots at the end of April 2nd.

We have updated the game map to reflect the changes brought upon by Delight's return- namely, the activity in her temple and bar (marked in yellow on the map) so you can get an idea of where all of this is originating from! THE OVERVIEW

► March 23rd: Delight starts the party at her bar and makes a post inviting everyone over.
► March 25th: Delight begins serving energy shots at the party.
► March 28th: The party has eclipsed all of Hadriel. Enjoy never sleeping again.
► April 3rd: Delight ends the party once she realizes that fewer and fewer people are having fun. Sad. :(
