Canon Update!
Hello!
A little case of putting the horse after the cart but I wanted to put up a quick note to let the game know that I canon updated Lucifer through the end of Season One.
There was mostly some further development of his relationship with his Father and also some canon details came out that are of particular note.
- In "St. Lucifer" we learned that it is against "Dad's" rules for an angel to take a mortal life.
- In "St. Lucifer" we also learned that Lucifer's 'mortality sitch' is directly related to Chloe and his proximity to her. When she's not around, he is completely indestructible to anything but "demon blades forged in Hell, those prick". When she is around, he bleeds.
- His brief friendship with Father Frank has rekindled his interest in his relationship with his Father. He's started to talk to "Dad" again.
- In the final episode, we see him directly address "Dad" when he's 'dying' from a gunshot wound. He offers up his bond if his father will protect Chloe. Lucifer 'dies' and goes to Hell, where he is drawn to an open cell, showing that someone has 'escaped'. He then resurrects back on Earth in time to help protect Chloe from Malcolm.
- Later Lucifer interprets to his brother Amenadiel, that he spoke with and got a response from "Dad". He specifically says he "offered up my services" which indicates that he has bowed his head to his father and accepted Heaven's command over him; at least for now.
- We learn that at the moment Heaven's command is for Lucifer to retrieve the individual who escaped Hell. Someone who actually frightens Lucifer ... "Mum".
The key changes upon his return are, he now knows for certain when and why he's mortal vs immortal and he's made a deal with his Father and is going to be a bit more intense about needing to get back home to fulfill his part of the deal!
