Monthly Rundown: July Edition

Congrats on making it through June! New god, new food source, and everything seems to be turning out pretty well for you guys. July is going to be a bit of a breather month for those who are still reeling a bit, with some recharging of Hope's batteries, as well as Rage poking at the network!

Also, please remember to hit up the Current AC post if you haven't done so yet! Characters accepted in June do not require AC proofs, but we do require a check-in on the post!

JULY PART 1: A FALLING OUT

Be sure to get your confessions out as Sorrow's event draws to a close on July 3rd. On the fourth, characters will wake up with the heavy feeling of sadness and regret lifted (or... not lifted, depending on how much sadness and regret they're usually carrying around) and will have a few days of respite before the new arrivals show up.

On July 10th, our intro log will go up as usual, and with all of the fresh meat, the Door will also be dragging in Deathclaws from the Fallout game franchise.

Large, dangerous beasts with insatiable appetites for violence and destruction, Deathclaws are fast, strong, and are basically designed for murder. Don't let one catch you unaware- or, really, don't let one catch you, period. Though they're solitary hunters, most people won't fare too well in a one on one match with them, so do try to buddy up when leaving the Colosseum.

JULY PART 2: LOST IN TRANSLATION

You know who's been missing in action for awhile? Rage! And although she's not quite ready to test the waters for anything truly rage-inducing, she is going to be messing with your characters in ways that are... well, annoying at best.

From July 12th-July 17th, all network communication is going to be a little trickier. Text messages between characters will include some clever insults, regardless of whether or not your characters actually wrote them or not, and video or audio messages may glitch out in other strange ways. Your heartfelt love confession might just get sent to the wrong person, your voice might come out strangely autotuned, and why does it look like you have a snapchat filter on your video transmission?

Try to troubleshoot if you like, but there's just no stopping Rage's casual trolling, so brace yourself and be ready to accidentally exchange petty insults and embrace the annoyance of miscommunication!

JULY PART 3: EXTINCTION.. PART TWO

Lastly, during the latter half of July, Hope will make a post, once again inviting characters to round up and kill as many monsters as they can in the caves, similar to the extinction event we had in January. However, this time, he will not only be requesting that some of the badasses go off and make the caves a safer place to live, he also would appreciate it if some of you creative and cleanly types can help beautify the city a little.

From July 22nd-July 29th, characters will be rewarded for helping to clear out the caves and city- both from monsters and from mess. Paint and some cleaning supplies will be given, and Hope will be rewarding, not only monster kills, but also those who help to make the city a little more habitable. Paint cute designs on the streets, throw some graffiti on the walls, clear out this rubble- every little bit helps! Characters who go the extra mile may receive blessings as well, so be sure to get in on some of the action.

as well as insults, would it be possible for the messages to corrupt in other ways that would annoy characters? like, for example, sending nice things when you're trying to argue with someone? or starring out parts of important messages to make them inappropriate?

Sure! Pretty much anything that would aggravate the characters is fair game.

is the glitching only happening on individual communication lines or would some network-wide glitching be acceptable as well? say, for instance, you try to message a certain puffball and it not only sends the wrong message but it sends it out to everyone in the murdercave. i'm, uh. asking for a friend.
