Event Post: Dazed and Confused

THE RUNDOWN
After the vote earlier this month, Hope has been storing up his power to resurrect another god - and as requested, this time the new arrival will be Confusion. As one might expect, that isn't exactly going to mean smooth sailing for the residents of Hadriel - but then, you did get yourselves into this. Hope is sure you'll all prepared for the consequences of your choice!

Confusion will be brought back to life on September 24th, and the moment she awakens, things in the cave go a little topsy-turvy. Confusion is a bit more subtle an emotion than some of the others, and that's reflected in the effects brought about by her resurrection. Nothing is obviously wrong in Hadriel - nothing even seems to be wrong with you, at least at first. But you knew it couldn't be that easy.

Walk outside, and you'll discover that something about the city seems off. You walked down this road just yesterday, and Fear's temple was at the end - but now the library is there. You try to go home, and you end up outside the wrong apartment. What the hell? On top of that, if you have powers, they could be going haywire. Nothing seems to work the way it's supposed to, and even if you don't have powers, you can't quite seem to do anything right.

Are we sure Confusion isn't actually the goddess of being really annoying?

THE DETAILS

From September 24th-October 2nd, it will be nearly impossible to find your way around the city. The layout has not actually changed, but each character's sense of direction and memory of where things are is hopelessly broken. You might walk the same path you've walked a million times before, but somehow end up on the opposite side of the city. This isn't too troublesome - until you find yourself walking into the caves, or the Silent Hill zone, or the river. On top of that, unless you're very careful about what you're doing, it's entirely possible you might end up walking right into the wrong dwelling, thinking it's your own. Hello, new friends!

Hadriel is a reasonably large city, which means you might end up having to spend a few nights away from home until you can find your way back. Or maybe you'll find somewhere familiar and decide not to leave at all, hunkering down with whatever new friends you've stumbled upon. It isn't impossible to find your way, just very difficult, so with effort and time you can find what you're looking for - if you don't end up somewhere dangerous first. Oh, and that GPS Confusion promised? It won't be added to your phone until October 1st, giving you just enough time to find your way home before the event ends. Awesome, so helpful.

In addition, people's powers are on the fritz. They might not work at all, or they might work too well. You can usually light things on fire? Cool beans, hopefully you were going for a giant bonfire this time. You can fly? Well, maybe don't go too high, your powers might stop working right in the middle of your flight. And those without powers can be affected too, in similar ways based on their skills. Great at knitting? That orange scarf you were trying to make definitely came out as a sparkly purple sweater instead. Good at stitching people up? Uh... well, make sure you don't accidentally amputate a limb, all right?

On October 2nd, everything goes back to normal. Say hello to Confusion, everybody, we're sure you're overjoyed she's here.

THE OVERVIEW

► September 24th: The city gets confusing as shit and your powers all break
► October 1st: The GPS appears on everyone's phone.
► October 2nd: Everything goes back to normal and we have all learned an important lesson.
