Event Post: Fire Festival
THE RUNDOWN
THE DETAILS
THE OVERVIEW
Well, with all of you flammable creatures and your need for warmth and heat, it was bound to happen sooner or later. And of course, since we've been on such a good streak of luck lately, "a fire breaking out into an almost uncontrollable disaster" happens to be sooner, rather than later.
On Thursday, September 14th, Rey (circumitus) will- uh, sneeze or trip over something or just generally surprise herself and ignite a smolder in some faraway corner of a room on the northern half of the city (spoiler: this is where a lot of the houses are). Over time and unsupervised, the fire will spread- slowly at first, and then rapidly as it picks up momentum on all of Hadriel's dry, flammable building materials and sends it all into a blaze.
Is your house affected? I hope not. What about your place of work? A great many homes and shops will be lit by the blaze, and depending on how well you all react to it, they may even collapse and be deemed uninhabitable after the fire is finally dealt with.
And how will it be dealt with? By none other than the Fire Brigade, whose inception is definitely not a coincidence with this disaster. The fire brigade has been training for something similar to this and will be assisting in putting out these fires! Thanks, guys!
THE DETAILS
On September 14th, the fire will start in the North half of the city, spreading rapidly to entire blocks of housing. Characters can feel free to evacuate and call the authorities or run for the nearby sink and try to combat it themselves- though that isn't recommended.
The fire will have spread by the time that the brigade is alerted to it, and the resulting battle with this fire will last roughly three days, ending on September 17th with the fire extinguished and everyone a little soggy. After that, it's up to you guys how you want to rebuild and who had their homes or storefronts destroyed in the blaze!
Please ask for permission and let us know if any significant locations on our location page will be heavily damaged or destroyed in the blaze!
And thanks, Rey.
THE OVERVIEW
► September 14th: The fire starts and spreads to multiple houses. Scary!
► September 17th: Luckily the fire doesn't last forever. Hope you didn't inhale any smoke!

Nick is going to be out and about in the fire, trying to evacuate the towers and make sure folks are getting to safety. He doesn't live there anymore, but given he doesn't need air to breathe, he's good to run into burning buildings and not suffocate.
Just don't wreck your synthetic skin by being a hero or anything. If anyone needs rescuing from somewhere and wants to plot something, I'm down!Carlisle will be avoiding the fire for the most part! He's got some tentative plans with Glacius, but I might have him down at the clinic to help out anyone who is severely burned, so if your character is in need of healing, hit me up. o7

YES DO IT

I don't think she'll be making it obvious that she caused the storm with her deadly sneezing (yes I'm sorry that's seriously what I am going with), but if anyone wants to figure out somehow, that's fine by me, too!
Additionally, her and Nick's house will be safe, as will the Speakeasy. Because liquor can be crazy flammable and that's the last place we want to see catch fire.
Ravine will be taking a break from her normal pattern of "not getting involved" and might impulsively help a few people from danger, if they appear to be in precarious places where there is fewer odds of escape. She'd try to not make a big deal out of it and would rather just leave before whoever she rescues comes to their senses, but it'd be a good chance to get CR with her for those persistent, inquisitive types!
Since Ravine doesn't need to breathe and can reach high places, as well as "ghosting" through solid matter, she's pretty equipped at helping. She's just picky and elusive about it.

And Curufin will be so glad the Speakeasy is safe!

And yeah asdf no she put way too much time and effort into that damn bar to let it go up in smoke.

So if you want to go wild with the physical consequences but not have to deal with a long-term healing situation, Law's one of the folks who can help with that.
(whatever else happens to spire 4 his apartment is going to be fine because...idk just because)

she doesn't count okay it's fine she's fine :D.There's also the unsaid offer that she has a couch in her spire 2 apartment, so if you don't mind walking up eight flights of stairs, her place is pretty safe from the fire.

If your house is burning down, or if you are trapped in it, please call the Brigade!
Also, firefighters and support team members post in as well. Thanks!
Also, the Guard and the Brigade are coordinating their efforts, and here is the Guard communications net post.
