take me to your cats
Hi, I'm Laura and I'm a newbie joining with Miss Quill from the Doctor Who universe. She's an alien freedom fighter and she will kick anyone's ass. She is also the last of her species and sort of enslaved to someone back on Earth via a tiny creature in her brain that will kill her if she disobeys the rules, so she pretty much runs on sarcasm and revenge these days. The only thing worthwhile about humanity she's found so far are pictures of cats on the internet and edifying literature.

Speaking of edifying, I've not been in a big game before and will need to learn the ropes. Is there a good place I can ask the obvious stupid questions, like what the numbers in some network post titles mean, and whether it's bad form to reply to an action tag post in prose? I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS
Anyway I'm really excited to become part of this community and to get Quill into all kinds of shit! She needsfriends fellow soldiers so badly.

As for your questions:
1.) Some players number how many posts their characters have made. It isn't mandatory. I personally do it because it's easier to keep track of!
2.) I personally prefer prose, so sometimes I do respond to action tags in prose format. (The smalltext kinda hurts my eyes if I'm trying to read tags from my phone.)
If you have anything else you're confused about, feel free to ask!

Thanks for the explanations, that helps a lot! I also prefer prose, mostly because I often end up making a lot of words and also because smalltext is harder to read.
Am I correct in assuming Quill can pretty much just pick an empty apartment if she wants, and that supplies are mostly found up for grabs in the shops? Oh and, network threads are visible to everyone unless they're specifically marked private? So more like a big chat group than private texting?

You got the right idea about the empty apartments! You can find a list of what's available on the housing page. Supplies are available at shops and the restored residences are all furnished.
And yes, network threads are public unless specified to be private! I also assume that inbox threads are private as well. Or as much as they can be since I think I read that the gods can still see what's going on on the network.

Class is honestly so so good, "grittier" than DW but still so much in the spirit of it. And all the characters are excellent. But Quill is the best, obvs.

I've been meaning to watch it, I just have long spells of not being able to do anything non-audio so i haven't yet. I liked her just from the publicitypics.

I'm Dk and I've got this rebel from the Star Wars universe, Ahsoka, here, who sounds like she would be really interesting to bounce off of Quill sometime! I've been out of the Who loop for a few years, but she seems neat. c:
welcome to the game and I hope you settle in nicely!
