Anyway, I've played a comics version of Wanda for years but this is my first foray into a game with movie-flavor Wanda and it's been a very long time since I was in a game with horror themes so I'm excited to be here! Hi Lyn and good I'm glad. I almost went with serious gifs and then was like no, how about not.

AND YES I play uhm, not the main continuity that everyone is familiar with the red spandex and pink tights but the grimdark alternate version from Ultimates 1610 universe. Similar in many ways but different in some significant ones. There are a couple 616 players out there but they're not active right now as far as I know? I keep meaning to pick her up but uh...decades of comics to read. o_o;

i mean, uh. ahem. i sympathize with you on the decades of comics reading being intimidating. i used to play 616!carol a while ago and that was--a lot of reading. a lot of terrible reading. and why i never picked up anyone with lots of history ever again despite temptation.

OH MY GOD THAT IS THE FIRST TIME ANYONE HAS EVER REACTED POSITIVELY TO ME PLAYING FROM 1610 THAT IS NOT ALSO PLAYING FROM IT excuse me I need like, ten minutes or so to pick my jaw up off the floor.

Oh my god 616!Carol *_____* I love Carol and god yeah she has had a hell of a rough road with....so many plots they ran for her that were so problematic?? And yeah I...tend to stick with characters that don't have a lot of back reading though there have been some exceptions.

For instance I also play Mantis from GotG and I've been working through her old comics slowly. Same with Tabitha Smith who I usually pull from Nextwave era because Nextwave.

i don't currently play from 1610 but i used to play 1610!gwen stacy!! i actually think i read more 1610 comics before i read 616 comics because i got into ultimate spider-man first.

Oh my god Gwen Stacy! There was one at a game with me once I think but I didn't to get to see much of her but most Ult!Spider-Man characters are so A+ since it's the best series from that universe. And...yeah reading that first would explain why you stuck with it longer. I have a friend who started their comics reading with Ultimatum and stopped reading comics entirely for like, two or three years before trying to get back into it.

unfortunately he is super dead. she watched him die, then she died, then she was bounced back to the last game I had her in where she proceeded to lose all her marbles over it buuut she's not really ready to accept that he's dead.

basically she's totally fine, everything is fine

Welp. She and Arya and Wanda can all be part of the dead brothers club. They'll be able to relate to each other pretty well on that front considering Wanda felt Pietro die rather than seeing him :c

Yeah exactly! I got the impression they ended up on the same side but there was a lot left unsaid. I predict a fair amount of Bruce ducking and running and steadfastly avoiding her for a while, but eventually so interesting. We'll see!

Soooo much left unsaid. But Wanda isn't particularly mature so it's likely she'll avoid him as well until they're forced to deal with their shit. Maybe after she has to deal with a more mind screwy fear event that will make her realize better how it must have felt to the others?
