Hi everyone. My name is San and I'm new to the game. I'll be playing Paladin Danse in Hadriel. Danse's current canon point (post one of the game's endings) is pretty much walking spoilers for Fallout 4, so do let me know if you'd rather keep things spoiler free.
Danse is a formidable soldier that believes uncontrolled, unregulated technology caused the nuclear war that turned America into a desolate, harsh wasteland. He's also not the nicest person around, and is distrusting and suspicious of anything non-human. But in particular? He really, really, really hates synths with a passion so fierce it'd probably provide enough energy to fuel Hadriel. While he's slowly growing more accepting of non-humans he can still be a stubborn, prejudiced jerk that isn't afraid to insult others. And he has a really bad case of stick-in-the-ass, and is unapologetic about it. He isn't easy to get along with, even with humans.
But get past that blunt exterior of his and you'll find a history nerd who loves reading/learning about pre-war America, and is prone to sprouting random facts. He's actually a really lonely guy who struggles with making friends and keeping close relationships, and is currently fighting a host of insecurities. And he's damn loyal to his allies while holding himself to pretty high moral standards, so he's willing to lend a hand to those in need, and even willing to risk his life to protect people from harm or fight for the better good of society. This extends to non-humans too, for all his rumblings against them.
Except synths. Because...yeah. Synths. And any robot that claims to be sentient. Buddy, he will have a nasty bone to pick with you.
I have an opt-out post here if you'd like to opt out of Danse tags. No reasons required, and no hard feelings on my part.
And that about covers introductions. I look forward to playing with you guys here at Hadriel.

Hi, San! Welcome to the game! I'm Von and I play Henry "Hotspur" Percy from Bladestorm Nightmare. He's a medieval knight, so he could certainly appreciate certain parts of Danse's outlook. On the other hand, he's one of the two commanders of the city guard, and Nick is their second-in-command... I will definitely have to throw Henry your way!
I hope you enjoy your stay at Hadriel :)

Haha, things are gonna be really interesting between these two, that's for certain! Danse would definitely respect someone like Henry but at the same time, there's that synth elephant in the room. I look forward to their CR!!

Which is a shame because I love it 8'(But hey, being forever LCW isn't so bad!Yeeaaah, poor Danse...
Henry really hasn't thought too hard or ever asked about what Nick actually is, and honestly he'd probably be freaked out by the whole synth thing, because medieval catholic lite. He and Nick are professional acquaintances and tech really isn't Henry's forte, coming from the late 14th century. But please tell him about how awesome power armour is. He'll be so jealous.

But hello, San! Blah blah dumb OC and Nick Valentine and I'm SUPER STOKED TO BE IN A GAME WITH YOU AGAIN BOY HOWDY LET'S DO THIS

...God, we always play characters that hate each other, don't we? BUT HI GRIMME I'M SUPER EXCITED FOR THIS TOO!! A long long road of character development awaits, but the journey and the destination are SO WORTH IT.

We do have a running theme of guys who hate each other, goodness. Maybe Carlisle will get along with him, since they're both such grumps. I am looking forward to Nick meeting him, though! The difference in canon points should be really interesting. :D
no subject
Haha yeah, especially since Carlisle has a green thumb. And is human. That's the super big plus. Maybe Danse can ask for some advice, swap a couple of plants. Does Carlisle want to try mutfruit and tatos?

Hi.
I'm Revu! I just play this lady here, who happens to be really close with
dadbotNick so this should be... interesting, to say the least.Although funnily enough, Rey also struggles with her own hatred for synthetics given that her world was completely messed up by a sentient AI and she's had more than her own unsavory encounters with other synthetics of their ilk. So she's also a soldier-type who's fought synthetics despite being synthetic herself (and not realizing it due to dying and having her memories wiped for 90ish years).
Somehow she went from nearly cracking Nick with a shovel to living with him and being a stupid robot family. Come on, Danse. Just chill.
BUT YES THAT SAID WELCOME TO THE GAME SAN and obviously I am so excited for Danse. <3

But man, it sounds like Rey and Danse have plenty to talk about!! It might be a little early to determine this but she might be one of the people that Danse might just listen and open up to. Teach him the error of his ways, Rey-sempai.
I am seriously so in for this CR. If you've any plans for Rey and Danse, please let me know I will be on it like white on rice!!
no subject
Yes good eggselent. Rey still struggles with her own issues towards synthetics herself, but she's been easing off a bit because Nick is her dadbot and he's good people.
But yes I am so all about this CR, mang, especially since Nick has told Rey Stories about the BoS.
No major plans but I will definitely hit you up on the intro log and stuff and see where it goes!

So, I'm Shiny, and I love Fallout 4, and I would just like to say: please feel free to pick on my tiny robot.

this is going to be painful sob I read your app and Turing sounds like such a cinnamon rollIt's nice to meet you Shiny! I'm so glad to meet another Fallout 4 fan, and I hope I can do Danse justice! I am planning to put Danse down the path of accepting synths and other AI, so finger's crossed that Turing will someday show Danse how wrong he is about synths!
no subject
Turing can do that! They're pretty good at being too precious to hate. Usually. They're also the sort that considers it important to treat others well no matter how much they may dislike them, so...
