Monthly Rundown: March Edition

It's finally time! Time for the final resurrection and the end of Arc 1. We are so stoked to have gotten this far, and so happy to have such an amazing, creative, and dedicated group of players. We love you guys and we hope you stick with us through Arc 2, which will be kicking off in April.

Also, please remember to hit up the Current AC post if you have AC for the month! Characters accepted in February do not require AC proofs, but we do require a check-in on the post!

MARCH PART 1: ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE

On March 2nd, Tranquility will appear to talk about the next, and final, god resurrection. Because Hadriel is entirely filled with emotionally stunted weirdos, there's only one god left - Love. You won't get to vote on which god to resurrect, but you will get to vote on something else, so get your voting fingers ready and prepare yourselves to make a decision!

A bit later, on March 10th, the newest batch of Hadrielites come through the Door. Along with them will be Runespoors from the Harry Potter books.

Runespoors are large three-headed snakes. Only one of the heads is venomous, but all of them are perfectly willing to take a bite out of you if you get too close - or if you annoy it. If you're lucky, an attacking Runespoor may distract itself via infighting between the three heads, giving you time to run. If not, well, let's just hope you can fight off all three heads at once! Good luck. Not too long after the intro log will be our bimonthly CR meme, on March 12th!

MARCH PART 2: PATRON GODS

In preparation for Love's return, the gods want to build up a good power base - because they want to be able to celebrate in style! That's good for everyone, right? Help them help you! Of course, that's not necessarily fun for everyone, all things considered, so they've decided to add some incentives to get people going.

From March 15-March 20th the gods will be running a competition! Each resident of Hadriel will be assigned a team, complete with team color and god sponsor. Every team will be asked to inspire their god's emotion in the other residents of Hadriel - scare people, or make them happy, or make them sad, or whatever! You don't have to participate, of course, but anyone who does will receive a god blessing, and the winning team will get a great reward. The city will be littered with items meant to help with this!

The teams will not be randomized - the gods will be picking who they want on their team. Did you ever have a desire to know which god would consider you 'theirs'? Now's your chance. You'll rest easy knowing that Rage thinks you're the most likely to be willing to punch a stranger in the face. Of course, they also want teams to be roughly equal in size, so it's possible you might get put on an unexpected team! Think of it like the kids in gym class, taking turns picking who they want - only, you know, much weirder.

OOCly, we'll be taking into account what we know of the characters and what their conduct within Hadriel has been like, as well as if they have a rapport with any of the gods, but if you think you know which god would pick your character, please let us know by commenting below! We can't promise they'll end up on that team, but it'll give us a little more context for choosing. The teams, along with more information about the event, will be posted in an OOC post a few days before the event starts.

MARCH PART 3/APRIL PART 1: ???

The last event of March and first event of April will signal Love's resurrection - and the end of Arc 1. What will happen remains to be seen, but we can give you two tips: 1) Don't make any solid plans. 2) Those god powers might come in handy. This event will last from March 25-April 9th and there will be an OOC post with more info posted later in March.

Do the gods have any way of knowing what the characters were like / what their reputations were prior to being brought into Hadriel? Or will they be basing their choices entirely on what's happened on the network and within the caves?

The gods will be basing their decisions mainly on what they've seen of the characters since they arrived in Hadriel, though some consideration of things they've learned about characters' pasts could come into play as well. Remember that the gods have full access to the network and anything said on it!

If our character is assigned to one Deity, but they don't like their Team Choice, what would happen if their actions went to support the Deity they liked most?

Your character is free to help whichever team they want, but they won't receive any of the rewards from it. The gods will be giving blessings only to people who actually participate, so helping a different team would mean they don't get a blessing - it would also mean that if the team they helped wins, they won't receive part of the reward from that. However, there won't be any negative consequences otherwise.

Please let us know here if you think there is a specific god that would pick your character for their team! Keep in mind that you're not guaranteed to get that team, but it'll be taken into consideration!

If there's one thing Firo's good at it, it's punching people in the face, so he might be a good choice for Rage.

Not going to lie, Will Graham is a living, twitching, breathing ball of fear. His whole entire life is ran by fear! everything he does is out of fear of something or other xD

His thoughts are scary, his nightmares and visions are terrifying and what he has the capability of turning into is horrifying! Sure, he's not a monster or a mass murderer yet but he's constantly feeding fear just by being in the Cave lol

Quill generates enough rage to power a small town but she's sadly unable to actually punch anyone because of the creature in her brain. Idk if that would factor into the gods' choice but she's very resourceful.

I'm just curious to see which God actually wants Tina on their team xD Obviously if I had free pick, I'd put her with Rage or Confusion simply because 1) she doesn't really care about anything here other than having fun and 2) She loves~ blowing things ups and making a little chaos whenever she can~

Less that I think I have a placement for her, but I wouldn't swing Alphys towards Rage or Tranquility- she has basically no capacity for either in her tiny body. Otherwise I'd be interested to see y'alls pick for her!

Sato is a shoo-in for Fear's team. He thinks it's pretty entertaining messing with people, after all. (But Rage is a good second pick.)

Marian personally feels a lot of fear but ideologically probably belongs with Hope or Sorrow.

Amos will probably be a good candidate for Hope or Delight..... Mainly because he thinks poor Hope has a bad rap and needs more love! Amos you cannot be friends with the gods

Either Fear, Rage, or Confusion for Richie! He really dislikes Delight the most though so I wouldn't pick that one.

Based on her public behaviour, Tranquility or Delight would probably be most likely to choose her, however there's been a few hints of a shady and violent past that might appeal to Fear or Rage.

I'm open to putting Kain on most any team! I could see probably Sorrow or Confusion fitting him well, but really, I'm interested to see where he gets placed.

Delight! Sure, what he takes delight in is a little unconventional, but that is basically his prime motivator.
