Player Plot!
Hi guys, this is Suz with Amos here! I have an opt-in player plot that might make things interesting for some of ya'll!
As most of you know, Amos can talk with animals! His range is about half a mile. What Amos is not telling you about this ability is that it is always "on" and that he's a spy and a blackmailer in his daily job. So between the jabberjays and your pets, he can get a fairly good idea of who you are and what your daily schedule is and even some of your secrets. Not every animal will do what he asks, but most will carry on a brief "conversation" with him about what they might be doing, and what the current state of their surroundings are like. He can also "touch" an animal's mind and get a sensory impression: visual, scent, ect., though this is less useful because animals have senses people don't and he can't always interpret what he gets that way. (The human brain can't translate electromagnet stuff, go figure.)
From the jays: Amos can get faces, voices, snippets of conversation, and daily movements through the city. If it's daylight and it happens outside, there's a fair chance Amos might've overheard you through a bird.
From a pet: Any non-magical animal Amos can talk with. He can get the occasional face, "smell" (no he can't smell that good but he can use it as an identifier with the pet), who lives there and who's visiting, and sometimes how you're feeling. No conversations though.
What is he currently doing with this information? Nothing, at the moment! He's only collecting it by habit. But he is an incorrigable meddler and can be tempted to play matchmaker. Also, he's falling in with Maketh and the two of them might start trouble with either trading rumor or secrets in the future.
