Hello Hadriel, I'm Mary and I'm happy to be here. With me is Fingon the Valiant, High King of the Noldorin Elves in Exile, first cousin to the brothers Feanorion, and recent victim of a giant axe to the head courtesy of the Lord of the Balrogs.

He's brave and kind and decent-and also an accidental kinslayer, because the royal family of the Noldor cannot get anything right ever.

I get such a kick out of the long names for Tolkien characters. Welcome! I play Emily from Until Dawn. She might argue with him, but some of her best CR has started that way!

Alas, Fingon's name collection isn't quite as... colorful as his cousins. Tolkien never got around to giving his branch of the family their mother-name.

On the other hand, one possible translations of his name is "hair-shout," which is ridiculous enough to make up for it.

Brave and kind and decent, you say? Hi Mary! I'm Brandon, and equally new with Elena Gilbert from The Vampire Diaries. I read LOTR and saw all the movies, though, I did fall asleep during The Two Towers. Elena usually reserves judgment when she meets someone new, which could include elves!

Fingon's about as close to the classic knight in shining armor as Tolkien comes, which is exactly why he ends up dead in a pile of corpses. That's why the elves look so dignified in LOTR: all their gallant fool relatives died off millennia ago.

He'll be happy to meet Elena, regardless. Fingon tends to like people unless they give him a very good reason not to.
