Sorrow: Duck's on a train, staring out the window at a small group of people - his parents and two of his best friends. They're staring back at him sadly and Duck has the very firm gutting knowledge that he'll never see them again. There's an overbearing sense of grief and loss.
Hope: Hey, it's hadriel! Except... better? Way better. It's not really a cave anymore, it's lighter, the sun up above is real. The town is less frighting, the lake clear, the caves gone. There are no monster or horrible things happening. And Duck has lots of friends! Some of the friends you might not know, but Duck sure does! His parents too are alive and here. He's alive, he's okay, he can be happy here.
Confusion: (warning for cannibalism/gore) Duck and a host of people, including his family and friends, are sat at a dinner table, and Duck is enjoying a very a nice meal. A lot of lovely meat and some trimmings. The dinner is interrupted. At first it's just like it was in Duck's canon: Lee (main protag of season one, friend of Duck) bursts in and tells everyone that they're eating human meat. The dream diverges from canon there though. Suddenly Duck (and perhaps whoever is sharing this dream) has a plate full of human limbs - hands, ears, eyes, as well as the knowledge that they've been shoving this into their mouth all this time. It's not pretty.
