Event Post: Squad Goals

THE RUNDOWN

Sure, it might be a little too late to promote unity in Hadriel, since it's started living up to its murdercave nickname, but that doesn't mean the gods aren't going to try! Specifically, Love and Delight have teamed up to encourage everyone to get to know each other a little better. In order to make that happen, everyone in Hadriel will wake up on November 16th with a new group of friends.

You probably won't know any of them very well, and that's how it's supposed to be! The gods want to encourage people to branch out a little, build some connections outside their usual groups. Whoever's on your squad, you'll feel an instant kinship with. You want to get to know them, hang out with them, do dumb stuff (or smart stuff, if you're nerds) together. And, of course, you'll all get matching jackets, because as we all know that's the mark of REAL buddies.

Don't worry, though. Your current CR won't be erased - your character will still have their usual friends, roommates, and significant others, and sure. You can spend time with them if you want. But wouldn't it be even cooler to introduce them to your new BFF, Friendly Bob Who's Probably Not A Murderer? And they can introduce you to theirs! Awesome!

Even if someone on your squad would normally anger or annoy you, for the duration of the event you'll be more inclined to take their antics with mild irritation or even amusement. Friends sure can rub you the wrong way sometimes, but the most important thing is your friendship! This is not foolproof, however, and if you push too far... well, even friends can fight sometimes. We're sure you'll make up fast!

THE DETAILS

You can do anything with your new buds! Go on adventures, get super drunk, have a dance party, help each other out with projects. Mostly, you'll just have the desire to hang out, get to know each other, and have an awesome time together. You can resist this impulse, if you want, but why?

We tried to make squads of people who do not already have close CR. New, minimal, or only slight CR is fine, but we really want people to get to know new folks! Of course, it's not possible for us to be aware of ALL CR in the game, so if your character is in a squad with people they already have a close connection with (friends, roommates, significant others), please let us know and we'll move you. Also, if you weren't assigned a squad, let us know! Last of all, if we accidentally put two characters played by the same person together... well, whoops. Let us know about that, too!

Michael is both the magic dude and the or something. GOD I have wanted CR/more CR with everyone here so GOOD!!!!

Okay serious plans though:

- Michael's still dealing with post-murder feels so that's... a thing... he'll likely fluctuate between being very zen and being very depressed. Maybe the fun squad will help cheer him up???
- He has like no motivation even on a good day so the most he'd initiate is phone conversations (which are normally a big no for him but you're all special now bc Friendship)
- He is however very easy to drag along, so he'll go with just about anything anyone else wants to do, and since they're Friends, he will probably even like it. (Probably.)
- I'M SORRY he's kind of a passive/reactive character and he's not super great at friends but if no one else has any ideas I can try to come up with something???
