Hi all! My name is Teresa, and I am a brand new player here, bringing you a brand new character to the game. I am super excited to be able to introduce you to Alucard Emery, misfit, magician, rogue, pirate privateer, and royal, hailing from V.E. Schwab's Shades of Magic series.
If you are familiar with the books, he's coming in just before the start of Gathering of Shadows. If you are unfamiliar with them, tl;dr Alucard is a royal privateer and captain of a ship called the Night Spire. Also he has a cat. He's a pretty flamboyant flirt, but moreso for the performance and attention than the final results. He's also a pretty powerful magician, a triad as they call it in canon, with the elements of air, earth, and water all under his command.
But perhaps most notable about Alucard is his ability to see magic. Not only spells, but the magic a person might possess within themselves appears to him as a sort of colored aura about their person. I've detailed it a little further in HIS MAGIC PERMISSIONS POST, but if you wouldn't mind going to answer those questions for me sometime I would absolutely adore you for it, and it would really help my understanding of how Alucard perceives your character! Also his regular permissions are here, including an opt out of potentially triggering subjects that might come up in connection with his history.

And thank you!! I am so excited to be here! And thank you for letting me know about spoilers haha. Alucard himself is kind of a spoiler, since he doesn't really show up until book 2 oops. If you're enjoying the series so far though I'm sure you'll enjoy him as well, he's quite the character haha
