Event OOC: In Need of a Boat
THE RUNDOWN
THE DETAILS
THE OVERVIEW
Thankfully, everyone has managed to convince the gods that they might as well help you guys out. Some arguments were a bit more convincing than others, given that they weren't really seeking to stop anyone but rather just on whether or not they should lend a hand... but all hesitations aside, those of you who fought the good fight to get the gods' aid have prevailed and you now have it!
Well, sort of.
The gods still need energy to provide you with the means to get there: Confusion with the boats themselves, Hope with the food and water, Sorrow with the maps and instructions, Fear with the diving equipment, Love with the compasses, Rage with the magical sails, and Tranquility with the containers to put the fragments into once you have them.
In order to provide all of these things, the gods need some help from you guys. Trust us, it's a lot easier with their help than without, so you might want to delay your sudden trip and play along for now, as these fragments are dangerous and we don't quite know what's in store at the other end of the coordinates provided to us by a robot who tried to murder everyone about eight months ago.
On July 20th there will be a very short NPC post informing everyone of the result and instructing them of what to do. From there on, it's up to you to choose a patron god yourself and offer them power through inspiring their chosen emotion. Will you try to get sturdy boats by confusing your friends through games of 4d chess? Will you start a few fights for heartier sails? The quality of the gift offered is directly proportional to the number of people working for that god- so try not to skimp out on the important bits, hm?
THE DETAILS
Each character can only choose one god to put their weight behind, and after aligning themselves with that god, they will find themselves with their chosen god's attention and will experience a slight urge to feel or provoke that feeling in others. To select a god, they must simply speak the name of the god out loud, no takebacks- this will be explained in the IC post.
As an easier way to tally up how many people are siding with which god, please check out the comment section below and leave a comment under your chosen god's header! This will affect the plot for August, so don't forget to do that!
Finally, you do not need to be planning on taking a trip to collect the fragments in order to participate in the event! You can still try to help out if you like- additionally, accidental participation (as in, your character says "I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow!") still counts, and accidental participants will still find themselves affected by their 'chosen' god.
THE OVERVIEW
► July 20th: NPC post detailing the IC event, the event begins!
► July 30th: The event ends and with it, compulsion to spread emotion. Good luck!

Thing is that he'd really like to take part to this. He could even be useful since he doesn't need to breathe and can stay underwater just fine. But he is still in his supernatural closet and doesn't want to out himself as a vampire. Of course I don't mind Gods noticing him or others to find out about this rabbit.

QUESTIONS
Example: If say, ten characters sign up with Confusion, does that mean that those ten are the only ones who get the sturdy boats? Or does that mean that all the characters who participate in this event will receive solid boats, regardless of which god they were working for?

That was a rhetorical question. Jon's all about inspiring hope.
