THE RUNDOWN

What's at those coordinates Name gave? Hopefully Door fragments. But if not, Fear's gonna have to move the city real fast, and for that he needs power. And for power, of course, he needs your fear. What better way to do that than bring to life many people's worst fear: being alone?

But you won't be totally alone. With luck and a bit of searching, you might find a few people who have been left behind with you. But it will take a certain amount of luck, because the network is completely down too. And any psychic powers you think might help you get out of this situation? Well, they still work, but anyone not in your little group is completely out of range. As if they're totally gone. As if they've been sent home, and now all that's left is you.

So what will you do? Panic? Try to get off the island? Try your phone over and over, hoping this time it'll work? Or maybe your group will band together to try to figure something out. The gods have never done anything like this before, so you'll have to decide on some course of action. Or maybe you can all just go back to panicking.

THE DETAILS

All characters in a group will only be able to see or contact each other for the duration of the event. The network is down completely, even between characters in the same group, but telepathy and other psychic powers will work... between characters in the same group, and no one else. Any attempt to leave the islands during won't get you far, due to choppy waters and high winds that seem to be entirely natural. Characters already away from the islands participating in the Seven Seas event might notice that the network is a bit quieter, but any decision to turn around will have them arriving back just after the event ends.

The gods have disappeared as well. All shops are no longer being stocked, though there is enough food left in them to last for the event - though of course, your characters have no way of knowing how long it will last, or that it isn't permanent. Temples are silent, the hot springs have gone dry, and everything else the gods provided will not be renewed over the course of the event.

Everyone is gone. It's just you here now.

The groups were made mainly through RNG, though requests were also taken into account. We didn't massage the rolls too much - which is to say, if castmates or CR ended up together we usually didn't reroll, as the gods' choices were meant to be completely random. If you weren't assigned a group, let us know! Also, if we accidentally put two characters played by the same person together, let us know about that, too!

Since the gods have seemingly vanished and all their commodities with them, does that mean monsters like the crabs and whatnot might wander back onto land? Or from wherever Hope is banishing them these days?

Currently Hope isn't banishing them, since there's nowhere for them to go. They're either being killed (by hungry people, people looking for a fight, or people trying to protect the city) or they're roaming in small numbers on the same island as the colosseum.

I know the network devices won't work between groups, but would it be possible to restore connectivity between anyone in a group OR someone traveling remotely? Alphys attempted to build a stabilizer for the network a LONG time ago (during the city split event, at Tranquility's behest) which was still shaky, but let her send texts. Would this work again/could she try to build something like that again for her group?

Just making sure before making any concrete plans : would it be possible to set a fire on the island by using materials that can be scavenged around the place (mattresses from apartments, wooden chairs, bed frames etc etc). Ofc making sure that it won't spread around the whole place and destroy everything

This is a very, stupidly late question that I guess makes no sense asking anymore but! But it got me thinking. I don't suppose that the gods being "gone" would affect communication between people, in regards of the many different languages people here speak? I mean.... yeah, kinda super late to ask, sorry.....

Evie isn't going to be too thrilled about being out there without her husband. She probably won't panic as much since her world is apocalyptic as it is. But the idea of not having her husband with her is going to make her sick with worry. So she's not going to take it well at all.

If any of them have seeds for fruits and such she can actually use her powers to provide them with that.

Hey, everyone. Thought I'd set up this post for our team.

Yukari's going to not be happy. Not only does his boyfriend disappear, but his King does, too. So he's going to be pretty upset.

He might try to go make demands of the Gods and try to figure out just what exactly is going on. But overall, expect him to be a ball of negativity.

If you feel like joining him, or trying to kick his ass into gear, feel free to. He's also probably up for any reasonably better ideas than his own.

Whether Tinya joins him or kicks his ass into gear will depend on who she encounters first, Yukari or Seel. If it's Seel, she's promised him cold honesty at all times, so she'll be a lot more composed. If it's Yukari, she'll likely join him in his pity party.

Heine... doesn't really care that everyone went missing? Less having to socialise with weird people, in his opinion. That being said, he'll be easier to talk to, if only a little, as he goes around scavenging for supplies.

He's also slightly inclined to help out, if it's a good enough reason. Might as well, right?

So feel free to hit him up for whatever, just expect awkward looks from this guy.

P is for the Party Group

So in addition to my gal Ravine here, we got Carlisle Longinmouth, Cashmere, and Margo Hanson.

Ravine has some minor CR established with Carlisle already, and while me and Grimme have some plans on using this event to propel a long-term planned personal plot for Carlisle, I would also totally love to get CR with Cashmere and Margo! Those are new ones for Ravine.

As the resident psychic, Ravine might... know already what is up with this, because future vision and all, but as she will also likely be made aware that this is for the sake of Fear in case they need to flee, she will not be advertising that and maybe even making their situation seem more grave (haha, dead people jokes) than it actually is for the sake of making this seem like Fear actually did leave them behind. Except she might go a little easy on Carlisle because he's already a walking nervous wreck who could probably power this event alone.

Yes to all of this! Carlisle has plans with Ravine, but before that happens, I definitely want to hit up Cash and Margo! He usually hangs out on the northern island in his garden (which is now the greenest thing in the park by far, hoo boy), but I can swing him going to the stores or ending up on one of the other places, too. Whatever works best! As much as he dislikes people sometimes, he will be super spooked by everyone just being gone, so he might be a hassle. WE SHALL SEE.

I'm up for pretty much whatever! Cashmere is going to be sulking because she's separated from Damien. Beyond that she'll be in full Survival mode, having been through enough bullshit both in Hadriel and before that she is not at all happy about the situation they're suddenly in and she'll want to be ready for the worst.

Group A

Putting this up for the rest of the peeps in Group A with Leo! As far as things go, he's gonna be very upset about not being in contact with his housemates Seth and Margo, especially since Seth is in a meditative state right now. Expect him to be grumpy, sarcastic, and in some state of hungry this entire event, which will....not be good for anyone in contact with him. He's met Abigail and Angus before, so this should prove interesting, and I'm eager to get CR with Keith!

Most of Ango's family and all of his housemates have gone on a boat adventure, so he's home alone for this. He'll probably go Full Detective Mode and will be putting most of his energy into figuring out what's going on, so that he can avoid freaking out and panicking as long as possible!

Oh! He'll also have Peanut, the, um... family "dog" with him, so what's up Group A, we have a somewhat tame Varren!

Jade is going to be less perturbed and more irritated at the state of things, so he'll be the type to keep his head in this trying situation. He's not a good Fear snack. That being said, his irritation will likely manifest via ~*SARCASM*~ and especially dry wit. Other than that, I'm down for anything (pls note that I'm a bit of a backtagger ahaha...)
