He's a friendly, straightforward sorta fella, a Sergeant in the US army fighting WW2, and best friend to the scruffy little punk who'll grow up to be Captain America.

He's post Zola-experimentation and pre-Steve rescue, so he's got the super-soldier serum but it hasn't had time to beef him up, and Captain America who?
