THE RUNDOWN

All the gods know they need power. They've got to be in top condition - or as close as possible - before the Null arrive to potentially kill everyone. So they're going all out to build up power as fast as they can, and who gets to go first? Sorrow, of course. Oldest kid always gets to be first.

For this, Sorrow's going back to the basics. Nothing makes people sadder than each other, and really, all anyone ever needs is a little push. So that's what he's doing. From April 3rd to April 9th, people will be compelled to share their secrets with whoever they're talking to... but only whatever secret will make that person the most sad. Those secrets you've been keeping for months because you didn't want to hurt someone? They're all gonna come out.

THE DETAILS

This compulsion can strike at any time. You could see the same person every day throughout the event, and only on the final day find yourself confessing your secret. Or you might say something every time you see them - something new each time. The moment you've spoken your secret, the compulsion disappears. You don't feel any need to continue, unless of course you want to try to dig yourself out of whatever hole you've ended up in.

The secret you share is based entirely on what you think would make your conversation partner the saddest. If it's someone you know well, you probably have something more personal to share - something you've been keeping from them for awhile, maybe, or something about your relationship. If it's someone you don't know well, you may just find yourself spilling those miserable secrets about your backstory that you usually don't tell new friends for months.

This confessional may suck, but at least it'll get some of those secrets out in the open. And, more importantly, it'll make a lot of people sad. All for a good cause... probably.
