As the Null don't use magic themselves, they've enhanced their materials to be far more resistant to elemental effects. They're currently not capable of doing a blanket 'no magic' effect, but anything causing effects (including acid) will be severely decreased - and of course the second they see any magic, they'll be directing their sonic blasts at the one casting it!
