Event Post: Assassin

THE RUNDOWN

Now that everyone has slept off their hangovers and a new crop of poor, unsuspecting souls has arrived in Hadriel, Rage has decided to spice things up a little. She's bored, and who doesn't love a fun game? More to the point, who doesn't love murder?

Starting April 15th, nearly all the residents of Hadriel will be conscripted into a citywide game of Assassin - featuring actual assassination! Beginning the morning of the 15th, when you see your target, you will instantly hate them. The mere sight of them will spark anger that's strong enough to drive you to do awful, awful things. Just look at the way they walk! Only an asshole walks like that. And that shirt? Hideous. Guess there's nothing to be done, you've just gotta kill 'em!

While this rage is not mindless and can be fought, or you can attempt to ignore it and take no action, the only thing that will actually remove it is the death of your target. The moment their heart stops beating, you stop hating them, whether their blood is on your hands or not. Awkward. But hey, you were just playing the game, right? Otherwise, let's hope you can hold out until April 23rd, when Rage decides she's had enough fun and ends things.

So - enjoy the game! Just think of all the fun you'll have! Raiding Rage's armory for murder weapons, trying to talk someone into taking your target out for you, tricking them into the caves so the monsters will do it for you, drowning them in the lake, ignoring your well-meaning friend who keeps trying to talk you down. The possibilities are endless! Thanks, Rage, you sure are livening up this cave experience!

I'd like to keep her alive, yes! Rey is a pretty resilient 300lbs synthetic humanoid with a cybernetic skeleton, plus she can hold her own in a fight, even after being shot a few times. (Plus it's all too tempting to pull a New Vegas and have her get shot in the head hahaha damn I've been playing too much Fallout.)

In any case she won't be actively trying to kill Liquid in return, since by then she might have an idea that something's up. If you'd like we can have this set towards the end of the event, or someone can intervene. She has some CR that would prooobably be upset with her if she got killed.

Edit belatedly but wow. To answer your question, I was thinking they could get into the fistfight after the potshot! If that works for you.

Sounds good to me! Will you be posting up Rey's log thread for Liquid to reply to and I can reply with him aiming the shot and it all goes from there?
