Canon Update
Hi everyone!
This is slightly belated, but just to let you know that Gansey (along with Adam, Ronan and Blue) has just been canon updated to the end of The Raven King. He will be returning to Hadriel as of the recent intro log.
Gansey's canon update also takes in the confirmation that he has magic-based powers, which previously had not been explicit. His powers are based on his intent, which for the most part means that when he wants to be, he is more persuasive than the average person, and is able to locate things that are difficult to find. When this ability is amplified, he is able to both activate and nullify magical power.
This may impact your character! On an ordinary level, Gansey's ability to persuade may impact them, but when his powers are amplified, his magical commands may also have an impact. I have a permissions post for these powers here, and it would be great if you could fill it in! Thanks in advance.

Yes, it pretty much seems to be! If it’s the Alcohol Demon you’re thinking about in particular, then Gansey’s powers are shown to work against a demon in his canon.
That demon is literally a giant wasp. It’s a good thing he never actually sees it in the flesh, because he’d be all kinds of freaked out over that.
