tick tock on the clock but the party don't stop

Hadriel, DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS?

"Duh Jules," you say, "it's the garrulous hills event." but. DO YOU KNOW THE TIME OF DAY?

No. Because you have no freaking clocks.

Even though time is relative and gravity's probably hella bending it out of shape down in the Underground, this guy likes the structure of the linear.

In other words, as the above link evinces, he'll be working on figuring out Hadriel Universal Time / clock app.

Mostly for himself, but when he's sufficiently satisfied with it, he'll throw it up on the network for those so inclined. It will probably. Just have 24-hr time (as in 13:00 not 1:00), a TIMER (ability to run multiple simultaneously, because it's based off his app, and he's been doing that, so like... ten separate timers or whatever at once YOLO), STOPWATCH, and ALARM, and two alarm sounds (pots banging in a kitchen and chalk screeching on slate because obviously he found chalk) without the ability to easily add your own recorded sound because he won't be thinking about that user friendly shit.

THE POINT OF THIS POST?

It wouldn't occur to him to TELL anyone about this before posting (like he's not going to go on the network and say I'M MAKING A CLOCK WANT TO HELP? no. only once he's done it is it worth mentioning), but if you want to get involved (or just notice the idiot walking around mumbling and scribbling code furiously in a notebook, either way then maybe you WILL be able to add your own sound ;) and there's sufficient interest, I'll throw up a catch-all. Since some idiot probably won't let him stay up fueled by coffee for a zillion hours, staring at the not-sun, that's... a thing.

Uh, obviously the current event and Sorrow's undoubtedly joyful awakening have and will disrupt things, so like.

There's time.

but yeah so that's happening, best priorities, right???? right. winning.

Additionally, he'd love to make a calendar app, but I'm not sure where characters got, if anywhere, in figuring that out. Either way, obv take even longer to be sure. We were chatting on plurk and noted it would be cute if it had network wide birthday notifications. UNFORTUNATELY, though easy enough to code, he would need to know:

1) the number of days in a year in their world
2) the number of days it would have been til/since their birthday in their world
3) how many days they have been in hadriel

With the assumption that frustratingly it will be a little inaccurate because of the 30 vs 24 hr thing (doubtful anyone noticed exactly when that switched over, etc.)

ANYWAY JUST A LOT OF THOUGHTS BYE.
