hadriel_ooc | Monthly Rundown: November Edition

It's been two full years of Hadriel, and we are so delighted to have all of you! After our Hadriel anniversary, things are going to be ramping up a little plot-wise, as you've already seen. So hold on tight and get ready for some excitement and changes!

Also, please remember to hit up the Current AC post if you have AC for the month! Characters accepted in October do not require AC proofs, but we do require a check-in on the post!

NOVEMBER PART 1: BREATHING ROOM

After that shocking message from the Null, everyone in Hadriel will have a little time to decide what to do. The gods have to figure out what to do about all this, so they won't be throwing anything new at the residents for the first part of month. That means you have a chance to... what? Kill a friend? Try to protect them? Warn the gods? Get super wasted? Whatever your natural response to a Null death list is, go for it! We've created a comment heading here for potential Null murder plotting specifically.

Then, on November 10th, the Door drops a handful of new arrivals into the cave. Accompanying them are a couple packs of velociraptors - specifically, the ones from the Jurassic Park movies, not the real-life far less terrifying dinosaurs.

Velociraptors are speedy, smart six foot tall dinosaurs. They've got wickedly sharp teeth and long, terrifying claws that can rip you right open. They also like hunting in packs, and they're plenty intelligent enough to hunt or ambush you. Watch your back! Then, on November 12th, we will have our bimonthly CR meme.

NOVEMBER PART 2: SQUAD GOALS

Something's up in the city, and the gods know it. In an attempt to promote unity and, you know, not killing each other, Love and Delight will team up! Starting on November 16th, you'll have a whole new group of best friends. Yes, that's right, it's time for new frontiers of friendship! You'll wake up that morning wanting nothing more than to spend time with your brand new squad. Chill with them at their work, wander the streets in a little gang, braid each other's hair, beat up your enemies together. It'll be so much fun!

Characters will be assigned to squads by the gods, and will feel a affectionate bond with each other full of friendly love. Even if you didn't know them before, you sure want to get to know them now! And if you didn't like them before, well... now they're that annoying friend who pisses you off a lot but still gets invited to all your parties, because that's how friendship works. Oh, and you'll all get matching jackets, because what squad doesn't have matching jackets? If there is a specific character you'd like yours to be in a squad with, please let us know here and we'll take it into account when assigning squads! Please keep in mind that the gods will be intending to bring together people who are not already friends. There will be an OOC post before the event with squad assignments and info.

These tight friend groups will break up on November 21st. Then, the next day, November 22nd, the Null will get in contact with the city again. Brace yourselves.

NOVEMBER PART 3: THE ATTACK

On November 25th, the Null will put their plan into action. Anyone who completed their task will receive a message telling them the time is now. At the location they were given, they will find a weapon capable of killing Hope. What happens after that is up to you - Hope is not difficult to coax into showing himself, but how well this attack works depends on how many people are involved and whether they can attack before Hope realizes what's going on.

Whether or not any player characters participate, Hope will be attacked - the damage done to him, the level and severity of it, depends on you. Shortly after that, the Null will attack as well, drilling and blasting through the tunnels. Fear teleports the city as quickly as he can, but more Null are waiting to ambush them in their next location. Though he uses the last of his energy to move the city again, it's not until after a large number of Null have made it through the tunnels.

The Null, on the loose within Hadriel, will be attempting to destroy all gods, all structures the gods have made, and any allies of the gods. It'll be up to you to stop them - or help them. The outcome of this, and of Hope's attempted assassination comes down to player participation. There will be more information, and plotting, in an OOC post closer to the start of the attack.

well since this guy opened his BIG MOUTH, he's now a target... anyone wants dibs on this guy? He's pretty useless (no, he's not, your char is gonna find it harder than it looks, PLUS APPARENTLY HE'S GOT PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PROTECT HIM? WHAT IS THIS?).

I'm all for murder attempts (probably even hurting idk) but not for actual murdering so, come, let us talk ♥

YES! but would it work for you if he didn't actually kill him??? because yeah that's a thing i'd prefer to avoid.

Sure, we can work with that. Yukari wouldn't be above playing with his food, so he could just rough up and mildly torture Atem/Yugi until assistance arrives, if you would prefer.

no but really it works wonders for me, he'll at least try to defend himself, he's not TERRIBLE but he's not Yukari so... there.

But yea. They can make up later. If Atem comes back up to him and says he forgives him for it later, he might break Yukari because he was an asshole to you. What is WRONG with you? and lump you in with the kicked puppy club with Kain.

Yukari might be straight upfront about it, if Atem asks during battle. Otherwise, the best way to find out what happened would be through Curufin. Curu-tan might still be pissy about it, though. Depending how this inbox conversation goes.
