hello again Hadriel!! it's Danni again, and I'm dragging in a second character this month: meet Jaime Reyes, also known as the third Blue Beetle, from DC Comics!



Jaime's a 16-year-old Mexican-American teen, born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He likes sports, loves his family and friends, gets good grades, and wants to be a dentist when he grows up. He'd be a completely normal high schooler if he didn't have a horrific alien AI superweapon bonded to his spine and inside his head. And that would be a huge problem, if Jaime weren't such a straight-up good person: Khaji Da, the AI, now knows 1) how to not kill things, 2) sarcasm, and 3) Star Trek references. Basically, Jaime is a dorky hero boy scout, but he's very clever and does what he's gotta do to get stuff done and keep people safe. That said, he is still getting used to having a gross alien bugsuit. Bear with him. :')

Hi everybody! I'm Waffle, and I'm new to the game, bringing with me one James Buchanan Barnes from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Unfortunately he's coming in from the fight on the bridge, before his mask comes off and Steve recognizes him, so he doesn't even know his name is Bucky. All he knows is Hydra. Hail Hydra. This should be fun!

I'm looking forward to having him stalk around and scare the shit out of people, should be great.

In other words, hello! I am Anodyne, completely fresh meat to Hadriel, and I will be bringing Glacius into the fray. Glacius is an icy interstellar warrior and galactic marshal who, despite his fierce appearance, is the absolute epitome of a gentle giant. Unfortunately, his experiences with humanity until this point have not been pleasant ones--he's been the victim of all sorts of horrible things, including wrongful imprisonment (which he was forced to fight for his life to escape), cruel testing, and theft of his technology. He's got a good heart so he's still trying to keep things peaceful between his people and humanity, but as a consequence of everything he's gone through he can be pretty distrustful of outside species.



That's where you all come in. In one of the previous games he was in, the kindness of the characters around him inspired a lot of positive change and helped him come out of his shell quite a bit, so it'll be interesting to see how the denizens of Hadriel affect him--for better or for worse! I'm excited to give him another run and see the parallels and differences that are to be had.

Uh I mean... hi! I'm Clamor, new meat to Hadriel, and I'm bringing with me Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn from FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. Also known as that MMO with a billion elf boyfriends where you get to punch gods in the face for loot. It's pretty bangin'.
Merlwyb here is a pirate-gone-Admiral, and the de facto head honcho of a free City State of pirates/fishermen/rogues/adventurers, so she's pretty much used to the political equivalent of herding cats. Laws and restrictions on what can and can't be considered 'lawful looting' isn't popular with the citizens. Luckily Merlwyb is the biggest and baddest pirate of the lot - you don't mess with the gods damned Storm Admiral unless you're jonesing for a long walk off a short pier - soooo... things are relatively under control. Minus the giant angry sea serpent trying to sink the city every so often.

BUT HEY. TL;DR giant fricking pirate woman (Literally... she's like 7'2"). It works.

Hiya! My names Laura and I'll be bringing you a (relatively unknown? perhaps!) character from a David Mitchell novel entitled The Bone Clocks (Cloud Atlas + fantasy basically). The character in question is one Hugo Lamb and for the unfamiliar, he is a grade-a morally bankrupt asshole who, for lack of a better way to summarise, is essentially a soul vampire.

It's been an absolute age since I've RPed and even longer since I've been in a game, so I'm really excited to dive into the game. For OOC communication etc, I do have a plurk — ruffians. Feel free to add me!

Blue here is also a CRAU from Mask or Menace, meaning she's got some beefed up powers from her canon self and a little more trauma. She's an amplifier of not just psychics, now, but of anyone with powers. She's also a psychic who sees the futures in mirrors. I have permissions here for her psychic abilities especially, but feel free to contact me there for any amplifying needs you might have! It can affect someone without her meaning to, or she can turn it off so completely opt in.

Steph here, player of zen_en_vert and dangerous_dog bringing in this new lady- it's Veek, from the novel 14 by Peter Clines.

First of all, sorry for basically vanishing entirely all of last month, it sort of got away from me! Second, excited to catch back up and introduce her the coming weeks! She's basically from a modern day horror novel- a low level blackhat hacker who deals with unexpected Cthulu. She's HORRIBLY unfriendly and confrontational, so I'm going to apologize in advance for basically everything that comes out of her mouth- but looking forward to it all the same!

I'm Ana, brand new to the game, bringing in Pellaz Cevarro from the 80's fantasy novel series Wraeththu. It's about the survival of a new species in an apocalyptic future, full of war and love and magic and purple prose and all that good stuff. Pell is a magic user with affinities for healing and lighting things on fire, so hopefully he'll be making himself useful in Hadriel. And making friends! He's a sweetie.
