Event Post: Senses Fail

THE RUNDOWN

Sorrow already let you guys know that it's just about time to move the city again, so we're sure you also know what that means. Who moves the city? Fear. What does he need in order to get that done? Yep, you got it. Fear. So it's time for you to feel just a bit - or maybe a lot - terrified. And Fear doesn't do things by halves.

He's changing the game a little this time, and taking something from you. Rather than an object, this is a part of you: a sense, and ability, a limb. Something you use every day, something that seems vital to you, and now it's gone. Will it come back? Probably, but... well, you can't be sure, and even if it does, you've still got to figure out how to live without it for awhile. Or maybe forever.

Vulnerability can be the most terrifying thing of all.

THE DETAILS

What will your character lose? Well, that's pretty much up to you, as long as it falls under the general idea of a sense, power, or ability. They could lose a sense, or part of one - going half-blind, being unable to taste. They could lose a power - their magic, their ability to stay in human form. Or they could lose an entire limb - an arm or a leg, or maybe just a finger. They could even have more than one thing taken from them, if you really want to be mean. One eye gone at the beginning of the event, and just as you're getting used to it, the other disappears? Yikes.

Fear won't take anything that will cause them to die instantly, however. No vital organs, no ability to breathe. He also won't take physical objects or memories. He's interested in causing fear, and dead people can't feel fear. Though, of course, he won't much care if you happen to, say, stumble into the river and drown because you suddenly can't see. That's really your fault, after all.

All missing things will be restored at the end of the event, and please remember that this event is optional - your character doesn't have to be affected if you don't want them to be. Have fun!

Lup

Lup is gonna have a super fun event.

Waking on the 14th, she will come to without her body, leaving Lup in her spectral lich form, which for those who haven't seen it yet, is basically a skeletal ghost floating around in a red cloak. At first, she'll be just fine, same ol' Lup just without a physical form. But then after a little trigger early into the event, she's going to lose one of her emotional anchors and quickly lose her stability as a lich right after.

Which basically means a murderous lich is going to be flying around the city, shooting off magic and looking for some victims.

If anyone wants to fight her or is looking for their character to get injured during the event, I AM HERE FOR YOU. Come be a big damn hero and get your ass kicked! She will be immune to physical attacks and her offensive magic will be incredibly powerful, but I am up to plot all kinds of fighting scenarios! This will be made all the better by Taako having lost his magic during the event, leaving him to watch his sister go nuts without being able to stop her.

Near the end of the event, Kravitz is going to be stepping in to take her out, so Lup will be dead for the very end of the event and a few days after before reviving back in her body like nothing at all happened.

I am so up for Nico dealing with spectral ghost Lup, he doesn't get to use that ability hardly ever here due to people being resurrected after they die! He can fight her too if you wanted but I don't want to step on any toes because he's physically able to interact with ghosts too.

I am SO READY for this. Caedra definitely won't be a hero but she will absolutely retaliate if attacked - except she's losing a bunch of her own abilities and overconfidence is clearly her downfall so I volunteer to have her beaten up before she bails for safety.

Excellent! No worries about being too cautious with the roughing up, if Caedra wants out she'll just TP out or something since hers is more the innate 120 foot style than like the wizard one so she'll be like BYE I'M OUT once she remembers she's not resistant to stuff anymore haha.
