Event Post: Senses Fail

THE RUNDOWN
Sorrow already let you guys know that it's just about time to move the city again, so we're sure you also know what that means. Who moves the city? Fear. What does he need in order to get that done? Yep, you got it. Fear. So it's time for you to feel just a bit - or maybe a lot - terrified. And Fear doesn't do things by halves.

He's changing the game a little this time, and taking something from you. Rather than an object, this is a part of you: a sense, and ability, a limb. Something you use every day, something that seems vital to you, and now it's gone. Will it come back? Probably, but... well, you can't be sure, and even if it does, you've still got to figure out how to live without it for awhile. Or maybe forever.

Vulnerability can be the most terrifying thing of all.

THE DETAILS
What will your character lose? Well, that's pretty much up to you, as long as it falls under the general idea of a sense, power, or ability. They could lose a sense, or part of one - going half-blind, being unable to taste. They could lose a power - their magic, their ability to stay in human form. Or they could lose an entire limb - an arm or a leg, or maybe just a finger. They could even have more than one thing taken from them, if you really want to be mean. One eye gone at the beginning of the event, and just as you're getting used to it, the other disappears? Yikes.

Fear won't take anything that will cause them to die instantly, however. No vital organs, no ability to breathe. He also won't take physical objects or memories. He's interested in causing fear, and dead people can't feel fear. Though, of course, he won't much care if you happen to, say, stumble into the river and drown because you suddenly can't see. That's really your fault, after all.

All missing things will be restored at the end of the event, and please remember that this event is optional - your character doesn't have to be affected if you don't want them to be. Have fun!

THE OVERVIEW

Pell is going to be losing his ability to heal and will have to fall back on his mundane medical training, most of which was learned in Hadriel and he's not super familiar with because. Magic. So if anyone's planning on getting injured this event and heading to the clinic, hit me up because it's not the kind of thing he'd notice without a potential patient. And then.... crap. He'll still patch you up well, though!

Drake was a toughie, his worst fear is losing his humanity but that's impossible to play so he's going to be losing his self-control. Which is something he worked on long before becoming a zombie because of a particularly violent break, but will now also manifest in an inability to control zombie mode. He's not going hungry, so nobody's at risk of actually losing their brains, but if anyone would like to piss him off (intentionally or accidentally) or pick a fight for whatever reason, that'd be awesome. I do have some plans (loss of self control also means he's going to sleep with Rita, for one thing) which include being pretty dramatically injured trying to save Edgar from Lup, which will take him out late in the event, but he'll be around plenty at the start.

Wash is losing a leg, because like 95% of his self worth is derived from being able to fight/train/protect his people. He'll be immobile most of the event unless his teammates are willing to carry him around, so logs might be difficult outside of close CR, but he's going to reluctantly network post asking if anyone can make him crutches so if your character could help with that, he and I would appreciate it! Also teammates willing to carry him, I haven't actually poked anyone about that. Volunteers?
