THE RUNDOWN

Rage is- well, angry, and what better way to express her anger than by blowing up Fear's temple? Fear was the one who should have been protecting Delight, after all, and so he should suffer, right?

Well, that's Rage's idea, and on March 13th, Fear's temple will be exploding, sending shrapnel and flames spewing out of the general area, so you might want to watch out for that! As a ramification, intended or not, the city will be divided into Predator- or rather, Rage's faction- and Prey- belonging to Fear.

Both factions have their corresponding god blessings for the duration of the event:
► Predators: Will have Battle Ready, a boost to physical strength and stamina. Pain is numbed and reflexes are faster, putting the user in an adrenaline-fueled state ideal for fighting and tracking down their prey.
► Prey: Will have Fear Itself, a power to create minor illusions, generally of things that their target fears. Only the intended target of this power can see the illusion, but it could be enough to distract your predator long enough to make an escape!

The predators in this event will be seeking to kill their prey, and the prey can respond however they wish- by running, hiding, or even turning the tables and trying to kill their hunters first.

On March 21st, everything will go back to normal!

THE DETAILS

This is an opt-in event! Predators are only interested in hunting prey- those who opt-out of the event are not targets.

Characters can work in groups or alone, and those who opt-out can always participate as well, by helping anyone on either side to achieve their goals of murdering or- you know, not being murdered. The blessings will start off at full strength, but in the final 3 days of the event (March 19th-21st) they will begin to wind down, operating on less and less power as the energy from the explosion finally dissipates. All blessings will be gone at the end of the event.

Any deaths that happen as a result of this event will be revived by Hope shortly thereafter, and whether or not you want your character to still be affected post-revival (or if you'd like them to swap sides) is up to you!

THE OVERVIEW

► March 13th: Rage destroys Fear's temple
► March 21st: Everyone goes back to normal

Oscar is Fear-affected for this event. He's going to be spending some time at the clinic in the beginning, helping out with cleaning and odd jobs here and there (and if need be, he'll absolutely respond to distress calls requiring an escort to the clinic if no one is available to answer them)! He also knows some first aid thanks to his training from a former staff member, so if you're interested in playing out something like that, or just having a friendly automaton sit by your incapacitated character's bedside for a chat, I'd be happy to oblige!

He's not going to stay put at the clinic, though, since he'll want to fight off the urge to hide and look for other ways he can help. He's an automaton, after all! He'll be looking for the opportunity to help people escape the clutches of the Rage-affected and act as a shield for them, but he won't come across this scenario. He'll look for clinic supplies around the city while trying to avoid crossing paths with the Rage-affected stalking around. He'll look out for people who are injured/hiding/in need of assistance and lend them a hand.

Finally, Oscar's going to get 'killed' by Nathan Drake, and that will be it for him until the event ends. Oops?

Sharon da Silva will be affected by Fear and will end up backing herself into the Silent Hill zone to take full advantage of both the blessing and her own skills in the area, meaning anyone affected by Rage who wants to smash her face will find themselves in for a wild ride of illusions & horrors. She'll have Pyramid Head to protect her, along with anyone else affected by Fear who needs a place to hide.

I'm open to Sharon dying but it's important to note that killing her won't end the zone's affects, only what she was actively doing. Pyramid Head will hunt her killer until they either manage to force his retreat or leave the zone. I'm also open to her killing others, as well. So, if you want your character to experience a gruesome death, call me~

Rhys will be Unaffected, though that doesn't mean he won't be participating in some way. He'll offer his healing services to anyone in need of them and will intervene and protect anyone he comes across. If you need someone to jump in to save your character, Rhys is your mage!

George will also be under the influence of Fear and will likely take the option of hiding in the Silent Hill zone. Not just because it gives her the opportunity to spend more time with Sharon (and maybe not be such a chickens___ when it comes to admitting her feelings) but because she’ll figure that other people probably won’t want to go there. Sound good?

I'm down! She'll go out of her way to keep George safe, even in spooky place!

Awesomeness. That will not do one (1) single thing to increase her nearly overwhelming thing for Sharon one bit. ;)

Also, Mariane will be influenced by Fear and fighting it. So far, I have her guarding the Clinic, but I'd love for another thread between the two.

Oh, George! Her crush is so sweet and Sharon is going to feel entirely unworthy once she totally catches on.

And I'd be down for Rhys and Mariane to do something. He'd be happy to help her out. Everyone could use a spirit mage in their party!

And that's ironic, because George considers herself unworthy of Sharon.

Absolutely! After all, she trusted his mother to have her back during the fight with the Archdemon.

Lucretia may or may not start out affected by Fear and coming back, depending on if I can work out a death for her, but she will definitely be affected by Rage during at least the second half of the event. I'd rather not have her go on a total murder rampage, especially since she's relatively new and most of her CR is probably too tenuous to survive something like that, but exceptions are always possible! Also 100% down for having her hunt people down/magically kick their asses without actually managing to off them. Let me know if you're interested!

So I think Lance will be unaffected, but he will also be totally attempting to break up any murdering that might happen as well as assisting at the Clinic while all this nonsense is going on.

So far the only plans I have are for him to get into a scuffle with Nate at some point, but otherwise he's available for plotting if you need someone to intervene in a fight, help a character out afterwards, etc etc. He's a lot better a fighter than he lets on, and also has the help of a gun and some magic.

Keepin it simple here. Mettaton is going to be a Predator and thus hunt down any Fear dudes and dudettes so as to commit many murders. This is honestly an event I think I can sink my teeth into!

I may post, but I'll probably focus on tagging out! Please let me know if you want my boy anywhere!

Also, after a day or two, I'm going to post the backdated Leg Con thing I've been waiting on, I just felt weird posting it in conjunction with an event like this, backdated or not. |D
