This is a two to three - four pronged plot dealing with defending the inhabitants of the city and attempting to stop the Null through non-fatal means if at all possible.
THE DOOR PORTION;
Primarily, characters are seeking to make use of the Door's emotional / defensive capabilities which were discovered during studies with Sorrow earlier in this arc. This will ideally be a longer-term defensive solution, essentially creating a protected bunker for non-combatants and the injured. The protective area will affect characters somewhat, though far less intensely than it did during the initial experiments - to quote the mods: "it'd basically be kind of like a donut, in that there would be a moat of crazy to protect and then a moderately less crazy-making center for people to hang out in."
Priorities for characters, beyond tweaking the Door to do this, would be to create a usable bunker which is supplied with medical items, food and drink, and possibly a place or two to sleep? Very dependent on how spacious this bunker can be.
The second part of using the Door is the potential to use its interdimensional capabilities to send the Null away. This would be possible but comes with the drawback of characters being unable to select or control which universe(s) the Null are sent to. This could very well include PCs own universes if selected as an option. There's no guarantee this will send all the Null away, but it should be able to dent forces at the very least.
THE [NAME] PORTION;
Characters have discussed and realised the potential of "infecting" or "innoculating" the Null with / from the Gods' emotional effects. It is possible to use [Name] to upload a virus code to do so through the relay station found on the arctic planet before the city moved. However, this solution is ethically dicey and [Name] is not particularly enthusiastic about the ideas - again, to quote the mods: "[Name] doesn't want to inoculate the other null with emotions, as a forced alteration to their programming is essentially the reason they've been fighting the gods in the first place. [...] if pressed, it will admit that introducing a null virus may be the safest way to end the conflict, even though it has mixed feelings about that." Furthermore, if this option is selected, [Name] will most likely die in the process of uploading the code.
THE DEFENSIVE SHIELD PORTION;
In canon, Lucretia created a spell that can cut off planets from other planes. This would be capable of cutting off the Door's capabilities, though what Lucretia doesn't realise is that the Door's interdimensional powers allow people access to their magic. Essentially, should this be used, it would immediately cut off her magic (as well as anyone else who's powers are from home) and collapse.
