THE RUNDOWN

All this month, the Door's been doing its own things. Presents from home, monsters from everywhere, intense mood swings, people being unable to entirely trust their own senses. Shit's been weird, man, and maybe you've dealt with it well - but maybe you really, really haven't. Don't worry, it's almost over, but not until one more big batch of wackiness.

And in this case, said wackiness involves bringing people from all over the place to the city islands of Hadriel. Rather than just the colosseum, people will appear all over, popping into existence between one moment and the next. Mostly they'll appear on dry land (phew), but it's not impossible that someone could appear in the water - so hopefully everyone can swim. They could even appear in your house, popping into existence just in time to see you lounging on the couch in your jimjams. Awkward.

These people can be from anywhere, any universe, any time. In Hadriel, however, their time is limited. A little over a week later, they'll be gone, along with anything they've brought with them. Of course, some might return, as if the Door still has a hold on them... let's hope it's the ones you wanted to see again.

THE DETAILS

All temporary guests will arrive on October 22nd and disappear on October 30th. Scrambling to accommodate the new arrivals, a few of the gods will throw a welcoming party, with Hope providing food, Love providing liquor, and Rage providing some badass music to dance and/or fight to. Mostly this is intended as a way to get people in one places so that they can (hopefully) find or make some friends who will help them out, because frankly, the gods have enough to do.

But of course, there are plenty of other things to do in the city, and more than that - some of our visitors might have friends already here. Much like our previous Fourth Wall event, there are little to no restrictions on what characters are allowed. Feel free to play a character with too little canon to app, a character closely related to one you already play, or something completely different. You can even play multiple versions of the same character, though if you choose to do that, make sure to get permission if there is already one of that character in-game!

If you're not familiar with the game but would like to participate in the Fourth Wall, please feel free! The event log should be accessible to people with any level of familiarity with Hadriel, and we'll be sure to provide links and examples of things your character can do while they're here. If you have fun and would like to stay, our reserves will open October 25th and our apps open November 1st. Any threads from the Fourth Wall log will be accepted as the application sample, and your character can recover their memories of the Fourth Wall when they arrive on November 10th.

Everyone else will disappear on the 30th and stay gone, no doubt breaking someone's heart. But that's the name of the game, right?

Hey all, this is Tseil. And I used to play Rin here a looooong time ago. I kind of miss this spaz, but don't have the unlimited energy to keep up with him, so I thought this would be a great time to get to play him for a bit!

Rin's just basically your hyper, never-do-wrong, kick-your-ass-if-you-do-wrong, cooking good boi who just so happens to be the son of Satan. He does alot of yelling sometimes, but it's just because he's so passionate about getting bullies to quit being bullies. He's also very reckless. But he doesn't care about outside appearances - if you show good traits, he will take a beating for you to keep you safe. Overall, he's a cheerful guy.

Hi, this is argustar, player of George/Margaery/Laura/Jane/Tinya and I'm throwing in my Grey Warden for the Fourth Wall. She's a Cousland dual wielding rogue who starts out high in diplomacy, low in combat (though that changes quickly as she's thrown into fighting darkspawn on a daily basis). Her name is Mariane, prounounced the same as Mary Anne.

She's on the serious side and she's depressive even before Howe slaughters all of her friends and family. In fact, that's the main reason she consents to leaving with Duncan, the hope that someday she'll be able to get revenge on Howe.

She romanced Alistair, making him king and herself queen, she saved the Circle, put Bhelen on the throne and destroyed the Anvil, saved Connor from demonic possession without the use of a blood magic ritual, broke the werewolf curse, and let Alistair execute Loghain after defeating him in combat.

She was on good terms with all of her companions, although she got ninjamanced by Leliana and had to disappoint her. Ooops.

She'll be taken immediately after Alistair's coronation.

Hey. This is Mary, Fingon’s player. I have a few muses I’d like to throw out there, so if anyone’s interest is piqued feel free to let me know.

Azaghal (lordofbelegost): My other Silmarillion character, King of the dwarven city of Belegost, ally of the Dumbass Elf Brigade, and guy who actually manages to wound dragons (Fingon is so jealous). I can’t pull him out often (because Tolkien neglects the Dwarves to a ridiculous degree) so it will be kind of fun to play him here.

Aegon “Egg” Targaryen (unlikelyegg): one of the protagonists of the Dunk and Egg novellas, a young prince living life on the road with his common-born knight-master, Ser Duncan the Tall. Currently a small bald sass master who wants to be a Kingsguard, he’ll eventually grow up to be an ancestor of a not-inconsiderable chunk of the ASOIAF characters. Will be arriving with his mule, Maester, who definitely wasn’t named after his favorite brother’s future career path.

Zelda of Hyrule (wisdominshadows): The eternally reincarnating princess of legend, currently in her Ocarina of Time incarnation (If you’ve ever tried to unravel the dreaded Zelda Timeline, blame and/or thank her.) She’s a kind, clever, and melancholy young woman with a passion for music and a habit of transforming into a ninja. Also it will be her game’s twentieth birthday in a month, so come by and say hello.

Lauren here! Player of your resident demon everyone loves to hate. Caedra will be frozen just before the event starts, so she won't be around for it, and I will be out of the country and probably almost entirely without internet starting the 25th through early December.

BUT. In the short 4th wall period I will be around, I'll be tagging with Rosinante here, aka "Corazón," from One Piece. He's 9 and a half feet tall so he'll stand out a bit. Also he's pretty sure he just died but suddenly he's in Hadriel instead for a couple days. What a shitty afterlife.

Anyway he and Law will probably be practically joined at the hip but I want him to be available to all the rest of you too because he's good and nice and basically the opposite of my actual character and I'm really looking forward to bringing him around for a few days!

What up this is Fiona, player of Ignis, Julie and Poison, and I will be bringing in this delightful talking cat to the fourth wall.

This is Mogget, also known as Yrael to a very small, select few. He is from the Old Kingdom canon, a series of books by Garth Nix, and despite his apparent shape and small size he is in fact a very powerful creature. Yrael was one of what are called the Nine Bright Shiners, beings of Free Magic (wild, untamed magic) who first gained consciousness and sought to create things other than themselves.

Through some poor decisions on his part, Mogget ended up being bound with a collar made of Charter magic (Free magic, but brought to order), and tied to the service of a bloodline of people who guard the border between life and death - the Abhorsens. This servitude has, understandably, made him bitter and he is often stubborn, wilful, and downright catty. But isn't he cute? Don't you want to pet him? Give him some fish, maybe?

Anyone with the power to sense magic would be able to tell he is certainly not all that he seems! And luckily for you all, no one here would be capable of removing his collar. No one wants an unbound Yrael in Hadriel. That's a bad time. It would make Caedra's little event look like a children's party.

For those familiar with the canon he will be being taken from somewhere between Lirael and Abhorsen.

'Sup all! This is Shade, player of Leo, and I'm bringing in Ivar The Boneless from the TV show Vikings! He's been one of my most favorite and consistent characters for the past couple of years now. For those who don't know the canon, he's a psychopathic and unstable Viking who is exceptionally bloodthirsty even for the Norse. He's fueled mostly by anger and the constant pain he's in since he can't walk due to brittle bone disease.

He's coming in from 5x10, which means he's just won a very important battle that will decide if he becomes king or not. He's also alienated 2 out of 3 brothers and is pretty much just waiting for the third to get tired of his shit, so he's doing a wonderful job with familial bonds currently. He'll be very stabby when he first arrives, but he'll calm down a little once he finds out Alfred is here. That's like his only friend.

Hi all, I'm Rachel, a former player who's coming back for the event. I'm bringing in Lyanna Stark from A Song of Ice and Fire. She's the sister of Ned Stark who mysteriously vanished, triggered a host of events that lead to Robert's Rebellion.

She's a free spirited girl, described as having "wolf's blood". She's kind natured and stands up for anyone being bullied, going so far as to attack them with wooden swords. She is trained slightly to wield a blade and is considered a master horseman.

She has also been revealed to be Jon Snow's mother and Rhaegar's secret wife (sorry spoilers). At her request Ned hid her son, protecting him from Robert, her jealous ex-betrothed who happens to hate Targaryens. She's coming in just before her death, having earned Ned's promise to protect Jon. Once she sees her boy, she won't be as worried as when she arrives.

Hello! I'm Daz, and I haven't played here before, but I'm being viciously enabled by the other anime pirates (and that demon who's 4th-walling in an anime pirate).

I'll be bringing in Bepo (this journal), a 7'8" 600+lb talking polar bear person in an orange jumpsuit. He's a member of Law's crew and is as fuzzy on the inside as he is on the outside. And as neurotic as his captain, just in different ways - he apologizes a lot, but also has a short fuse on THIS IS STUPID AND I'D PREFER NOT TO DIE. Which will be interesting here.

Also on the definitely list is an AU-age 13 Roronoa Zoro (otogiri), a 5'4" green-haired master swordsman who uses three swords at once. He wields the third one in his teeth. I don't know either. Anyway he's far more polite than canon-age Zoro, if still blunt and hard-headed and a little full of himself. He also has absolutely no sense of direction. None. North means up, right? How far is a meter? He literally can get lost in a straight line.

I may or may not also be bringing in Donquixote Doflamingo (kumonoito though I haven't set up his journal yet), an absolutely megalomaniacal, successfully patricidal, successfully fratricidal, would-be omnicidal sociopath who literally considers himself a godlike being above the confines of humanity. He has a disturbingly powerful grasp of the abilities afforded him by the String-String Devil Fruit, which doesn't sound that scary until you realize he can "fly" by stringing himself off of CLOUDS like Spider-Man from skyscrapers, shoot bullets made of concentrated string from his fingertips, and anything you can imagine with garrote and/or razor wire, among other things. Also I nearly forgot to mention he's freakin 10' tall. He's. Not good. (Unless he considers you Family. Then he'll murder anyone who looks at you funny. Go figure.) If he does show up he'll probably be straight-up murdered by Law and/or Corazón at some point. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He deserves it a lot.

Hey y'all, it's Alexis (who still goes here even though she doesn't go here, u feel me) and I'm bringing Emily Davis from Until Dawn!!! C: In canon, she's the rich bitch archetype from the horror genre, but is also extremely capable and really darn intelligent. She was in Hadriel from January 2016 through May 2017 and did a LOT of growing up (and admittedly still has a long way to go, but burnout is the worst, etc). She made some good friends while she was here, so she's mostly gonna hang with them, and that because Life Is Happening but I don't wanna miss the chance to play my girl for a little bit again.

I will also be bringing (in a very limited capacity) Fisher from Bones. He's Lance's friend from home and is honest to god the most enormous nerd. Also he has a talent for acquiring one-night stands, wtf. He'll make a dumb network post from Lance's phone, mostly because he knows better than anyone that a sense of humor gets you through the darkest shit, but also he needs to catch up on tormenting his bro. Hey, everyone, this is Elizabeth and I play THIS GUY, Aegon "Jon Snow" Targaryen, whose mom and biological father and great-grandfather will probably be showing up! (Golly, when Egg is here, Jon won't even be the only Aegon Targaryen in the game. That's like the full Targaryen experience for all of you.) Jon will most likely be learning the truth about himself, minor things like "his whole life has been a lie" and "his name isn't even really Jon."

That said, if I can swing it in terms of time and energy, I'll be dropping in with Elsa from Frozen! She will come from the end of the movie -- possibly as a CRAU from another game simply so that she's used to more interaction and more ready to show off her powers. I'm sure everyone knows exactly who she is: nice, shy, bright, practical girl, newly crowned queen of a small Nordic-type country, who is extremely OP with ice magic and has just learned to control it.

I've got a 9-year-old version of Sanji (this journal) who will be showing up, not that long after being rescued from starving on a rock in the middle of the ocean! He is a small cute aspiring chef and future pirate, but for the moment he just wants to make food and receive affection.

I'll also bring Nico Robin (fleurista), who is an archaeologist and historian who dabbles in piracy, revolution, and shady underworld shit of various flavors. She's got the super cool and definitely not even a little creepy ability to make extra body parts pop out of any surrounding surfaces, including other living beings, within a fairly wide radius around herself. She's mostly very chill but has a sense of humor that starts at "macabre" and gets darker and weirder from there.

Hello, it's Rozen aka the player for Isaac "Zack" Foster, and I'm gonna be throwing in a younger version of him (shutheckup) on the 4th wall! He's small, mostly quiet, and is gonna be coming from a point where he ran away from an orphanage for reasons I can't quite spoil just yet. Also still has some inclination to murder, but he hasn't realized it.

I'll also be bringing in Maeda Keiji (this account) from Gakuen Basara! For those unfamiliar, it's basically high school version of historical Japanese figures from samurai age minus the seriousness and more on the comedy side. As for Keiji, he's basically a hippie who spouts love and peace, and will continue to do so even in this kind of place! He'll also be accompanied by a small monkey named Yumekichi, who's an adorable cute and will probs also steal some food, oops. Keiji will be pulled from dying straight-up knocked out by a baseball on the first ep because GAG ANIME.

Yo what up Hadriel. Levy here Starscream's player. I'mma bring a half human half snake man to the 4th wall who is an OC of mine. A little info on him: he's basically a warrior who enjoys fighting and killing stuff but he's also kind and helpful towards people he gets close to.

His world is similar to Earth but instead of humans there's humanoid like beings that have animal characteristics, some more than most, and there's zodiac gods that create beings out of objects. Aeacinos here is created from a cloudy mirror, a warrior emblem and the scale of a mighty basilisk. He has ice/water powers since his goddess, enki, resides in the ocean kingdom. He can also shape shift into a full human or a big ass 50 foot tall basilisk. His normal size is roughly 35 ft long though. He's a big snek but he's a good boy.

Also tempted to throw Aizen Sousuke from Bleach on the 4th wall just for shits and giggles. And I have my muselist here for any other requests!

Hello! This is BG (former player of Elrond from Tolkien/LOTR) bringing in a handful of individuals if I have the brains and energy:

Rhaegar Targaryen here is definitely going to be making an appearance! He has been revealed as Jon Snow's father spoilers! and husband of Lyanna Stark. He's generally a pretty good guy, just from a family of dubious sanity.

Feanor from Tolkien's Silmarillion will make an appearance for a short time only because he takes a ridiculous amount of brains and it's also not fair to subject any game to him for long. JUST BEING HONEST. Because in Middle-Earth, if Feanor didn't screw things up, it was Melkor/Morgoth or Sauron.

Cirdan from Tolkien's Silm/LOTR who's a shipwright and will judge all the boats with a very judging eye. He's a very very old elf, aka one of the oldest, and has a beard.

I might also toss up a couple other Tolkien elves if time and brains permit, but these three are pretty sure to make appearances.

Hey there!! I am Ca and I'm brand new/a potential apper here at Hadriel. I've been interested in the premise for a while and thought the Fourth Wall would be the perfect opportunity to play a bunch of people in the setting and see how I like it!

My main is Frank Castle here from the Marvel Netflix series so I'll definitely skate him around this thing. I recently dropped him at Reverie Terminal so I'm thinking of doing a CRAU from that game. It's a horror game on a deserted space station so believe it or not, this will totally be an improvement. He will also be bringing his pitbull Max who shared his time there. One thing is because of spending so many months in space, they've both lost muscle mass and will be extremely weak and sick being planetside again. He'll be pumped to be on solid ground again though, for sure.

Second, I'll be bringing Josephus Miller (pampa) from the Expanse. I haven't decided whether he'll be CRAU from Reverie as well yet or just OU, but he'll be totally freaked either way to be on a planet. He's a Belter i.e. he was raised on a space station in the Belt so this will be totally new for him. He's a grizzled detective with a heart of gold, get at him.

This one is just for fun! Gary Bell (functionshighly) from Alphas, who knows someone you might recognize! He works for Dr. Rosen on his team of people will elite and specialized abilities. Gary is a transducer which essentially means he is a human antenna, so he can see, hear and interact with electromagnetic signals i.e. wifi, telephone wires, etc. He also is diagnosed with and treated for high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) which can inhibit his ability to be empathetic towards others and contributes to his obsessive/compulsive tendencies.

I also am considering bringing in someone you may know, Tony Stark aka Iron Man (billionaires) to hang out with Peter and generally wreak havoc on this fourth wall.

Master manipulator, she is Queen (Regent), of House Lannister, and she will be coming in during A Storm of Swords - during Joffrey's wedding feast. She plays the role very well of innocent woman, but she does have her own end game that she desires to accomplish.

Assistant Medical Examiner, Liv is a zombie, who gets visions when she eats brains. She can pass for human, albeit a very pale skinned one with bleached blonde hair. I haven't 100% chosen where she is coming from, but she may appear spray tanned and with a wig, which she will get rid of... She does require brains to keep herself in her current state, and adrenaline rushes send her out in full on zombie mode, but it is rarer. She's used her powers for good.

I'm gonna drop in my d&d oc for shits and giggles because YOLO. His name is Varis Dawnrider, once upon a time he was an assassin and now he's stuck in Fantasy Australia with a group of assholes who are trying to save the world because that's how D&D goes. I'm about to get into some D&D bullshit, pardon my nerd ass HERE WE GO. Varis is basically the shittiest Drow ever, and is a lvl 5 rogue/lvl 4 fighter multi-classing mess who is the best at backflips, pretty good at making shit dark and inconveniencing his party with his stupid Darkness spell, and kicks ass at being a good good sneak boy. He speaks primarily in fuckwords (because he has shit for a charisma modifier), has way too many self esteem/daddy issues, loves his friends way more than is probably healthy, and likes to cook whenever he gets really stressed out. The party eats very well.

I also might be roping some buddies from the same campaign into this mess, a thousand preemptive apologies for all the explosions and swear words.
