ENDGAME OOC: FINAL SIGNUPS
THE JOURNEY
You've voted and we're following through- in Hope's most recent post, he asked everyone to decide how to proceed now that we are under full invasion. Fortunately, the vote was not particularly close and rested firmly in favor with killing all Null.THE HOMESTEAD PT 1
[Name], Alphys, and some others have already been working on a virus to alter the Null and can further modify the virus to shut them down instead. This requires characters to physically transport [Name] to the direct uplink found back on the ice planet so that it can upload the virus. Of course, [Name] will also need guardians and maybe a few people around just to make sure that it does what it promises.
This mission will take volunteers, all of whom will be told that they may not make it back alive- partially due to their transport being the unreliable god, Fear, who maintains that he will abandon his party to run as soon as things start looking bad. There's no telling just how bad things could get out there though, so you'd better pack a full suitcase.
Volunteers for escorting [Name] have two days to sign up in order to be counted for the final plotting- signups are welcome after that, but we will be writing out the outcome of this plot based on the number of signups we have in the first forty-eight hours (so at 11:59pm EST on 6/12)
The crew with [Name] isn't going to have all the fun. While those particular volunteers are out gallivanting around other planets, those of you left in Hadriel will be forced to defend yourself, the gods, and your only chance of ever going home again. Now that the Null have broken through the outer defenses and are flooding the city, it's time for you to choose who and what's worth saving- and what isn't.THE HOMESTEAD PT 2
Knowing that the Door is the key to the majority of the gods plans, the Null will attempt to lead an entire organized force through Kate's defenses with the sole purpose of reaching where the Door is kept and destroying it or taking it for themselves. This force will not stop to attack or injure any noncombatants on the way, and will travel in a straight line with a single-minded purpose toward Fear's temple and the underground passage leading to the Door.
However, these Null will be affected by the Door's defensive properties and some will splinter off in confusion and madness, wandering aimlessly until they are either killed or find their way outside of the Door's protective radius. Others however, will make it through to the center and continue their mission. Therefore, it is imperative, that a group defends the Door- this group will be fighting Null who are not in their top form due to being affected by the madness-enhancing properties, but Null who are still capable of killing those who oppose them. This group will be assisted by Sorrow, who will join them to defend the Door after realizing what these particular Null are up to.
Volunteers for defending the Door have two days to sign up in order to be counted for the final plotting- signups are welcome after that, but we will be writing out the outcome of this plot based on the number of signups we have in the first forty-eight hours (so at 11:59pm EST on 6/12)
While all of this is happening, the main Null forces are also focused on an easier task for them: destroying the other sources of power in the city. This means that the rest of the god temples will be stormed as well in an attempt to destroy them with Null weapons and prevent the gods from being able to rebuild them. Each god temple destroyed severely weakens that god and puts them at risk of dying in the final conflict.THE REST• Confusion's Temple is already destroyed, Delight's Temple is defunct, and Fear's Temple is covered by the Door defenders. While you are fighting to protect these structures or running trying to protect yourself or others, Rage and Hope will be ever-present on the battlefield, lending their help wherever it's needed.
• Tranquility's Temple is guarded by Tranquility, where he is housing and protecting an incredibly weakened Confusion.
• Sorrow's Temple is unguarded
• Hope's Temple is guarded partially by Love
• Love's Temple is guarded partially by Love
• Rage's Temple is unguarded, but near the armory
Rage will be assisting with fights all over the city, flitting from combat to combat, shapeshifting into fearsome beasts and consuming her foes, leaving only smoldering husks of the Null in her wake.
Hope will be far more defensive, but still positioning himself as aggressively as he dares in order to heal and revive combatants. For the first few days of the battle, Hope will resurrect people within minutes of their death, often still covered in their own blood. Cheers! As the battle continues on, revivals might take longer and longer, with some revivals not quite going the right way- perhaps you're still missing an arm, or perhaps you're haunted because you actually remember seeing the other side. Either way, there's no time to mourn!
Volunteers for defending the various temples have two days to sign up in order to be counted for the final plotting- signups are welcome after that, but we will be writing out the outcome of this plot based on the number of signups we have in the first forty-eight hours (so at 11:59pm EST on 6/12)
And finally, there are those of you who are still focused on their own missions- whether it's to continue to destroy the ships overhead, to continue to attack the Null encampments, or to do something else within the city. Prior to 6/15, all projects mentioned in the original plotting post can be considered completed (several ships have been destroyed, several encampments have been razed to the ground, the group who went to the mining colony once is now back)- characters can now choose to either continue their course of action or to contribute their forces elsewhere.
Of course, if anyone wants to do something else, they are more than welcome to! This is the spot where you'd let us know, particularly if you feel that it may factor into the end result of this battle. You have have two days to sign up for various other tasks in order to be counted for the final plotting- signups are welcome after that, but we will be writing out the outcome of this plot based on the number of signups we have in the first forty-eight hours (so at 11:59pm EST on 6/12)
After the signups are tallied, we will post an OOC post detailing the final battle for Hadriel.

EDIT: I REMEMBERED OVERNIGHT alphys has the deathbot aka the fake null, which she'll try to bring along for like... some form of stealth in this mission??? she figures it can fake being a Null, maybe.

That aside, Maine is basically a walking tank and will happily murder anyone or anything that tries to keep [Name] from doing its job. Great guardian! Good times!
EDIT: Oh, and Maine will also smack the 'kill 'em all' button, if it needs to be smacked. 😐👍

But he's a walking deus ex machina when it comes to dismembering Null and teleporting so I guess here he is.

For his part if any kind of fighting is needed then he is down. THE DOWNEST!!! And since he has some LOVE on him, then he'll likely be happy to use his magic and his sweet robot moves to tear a Null up if it comes at him and protect anyone important to him, or anyone who he's accompanying down hell lane.

They absolutely suck at fighting.
